Yes, I'll bet that felt really good! I take our old fireplace wood ashes to the chicken coop, thinking they would absolutely love dust bathing in that.....but they seem scared of it! They end up digging in the dirt and using that. Maybe I should leave the wood ashes outside the run, for the other birds to use!

A pair of wild turkeys spent the afternoon in my bonfire ashes dusting themselves. Actually the hen did the dusting. Tom just looked on. She was clearly enjoying herself.
