The first one I saw I thought it was a new born kitten the way it was curled up. That is until I started to touch and it uncurled. They are very beautiful and do not seem to eat as much as the smaller gray ones.

A side question. Do you have as many slugs as normal this year? Even my husband has noticed the lack of slugs. A few are arround and do do damage but I don't see their trails in the mornings the way I had been seeing them.

Maifleur, to the contrary. I have so many slugs this year I didn't walk in my backyard in the morning till the dew was gone. Horrible year! Good thing I don't have much of a garden here this year.
