In Florida, I would suspect that you might get a lot of takers, including gopher tortoise, burrowing owl (well, maybe not in a backyard), snakes and small mammals.

I can't think of anything. Their holes may work for the owl and tortise, but skunks and snakes would certainly set up housekeeping too. I personally, don't mind skunks or snakes, but don't want their home in my backyard.
The armadillos just seem to tear everything up on their hunt for grubs. If they'd fill in their divots after they ate, they'd be very welcome. ;)

I believe humans create more damage than armadillos.

It is easy to find information about the many insects and other animals that share gopher tortoise burrows but I find few references to armadillo burrows. There is literature about the importance of burrowing animals in other environments and other places. Maybe there is less information about armadillos because they are relatively recent additions in much of their current U.S. range. Also, they are likely to eat insects and small animals that would otherwise share their burrows.
