ZN3-5 Round Robin 2007-- are you ready?

SandiBluffs

Anyone interested in doing a Round Robin for the Zone 3-5 group? LMK

I have veggies & flowers, some herbs, some grasses. What are you interested in?

I need at least 5+ people to do this. ..........SandiBluffs

This is how a Round Robin works:

I set up an envelope with seed packets inside. With a list of names, I send the package to the first person on the list.

When that person receives the package, he\she takes out what he\she wants and puts back the same # of seeds (more if you want)from his\her collection. He\she sends the package to the next person on the list. All the information is inside the package for the procedure.

Take a day or 2 to look through the packets. No more than 3, so the people waiting won't have to wait too long. Instructions are included, too. Be sure to check them out.

While you are waiting for the RR, you can look at the list for the next person after you. See if there is anything from his\her want list you can add in the Robin.

Have your packets ready to go before you get the Robin and it will be easier to send the package faster. (don't look at my list, though 'cos I haven't been able to change it since GW changed to iVillage. :+)

To keep track of the package, the receiver posts here to say he\she got the package and posts again when he\she sends it out to the next person.

The next person will then know when to look for the package in the mail.

This a great diversion during the long days of January & February.

So....who's in? SB :)

Daddylonglegs, Sandi asked me to give you this message:

Daddylonglegs posted that he would like to join, but his email is blocked and I can't get ahold of him to ask him for his address.

I sent SB and Putzer an email.
SB, I think my phone number is on the card I gave you at the plant swap last spring at Marcia's house.

Robin landed here in Eagle River today--she'll take off for skyblue52's place tomorrow with a load of goodies.

Sandi, I'm so sorry you're having trouble posting :(

Good morning, all! I sent this Priority Mail as requested--coast over $4.00. I think next time I'm involved in a seed Round Robin, I'll bow out unless it's snail mail; I really feel PM is only necessary for live plant trades--

Any other opinions on this? No disrespect intended to anyone, please!

Since we all live within the same region I don't think priority mail is necessary. We could still do a delivery confirmation on a first class mail package (would have to weigh under a pound) or parcel post. It should still arrive to everyone within 2 days I would think, epsecially since first class and priority mail are the same thing (can you tell I live with a postman?).

I just followed the rules- like a cow to milking- like driving to and from work..... It's just what you gotta do.
This time- I do believe I did get my money's worth. Thanks to all who came before! I wouldn't have gotten such a deal, nor proven "Local" favorites at the garden store.
Thanks so much SandiBluffs for hosting- and for all of those who supplied such nice seeds!

The beaten envelope came in the mail today. Alot of miles on that thing. I spent over an hour going through the packets. You people are nuts.(LOL) There are more seeds in that envelope than most catalogs carry. My favorite was the birthday card from "Skyblue52" Thank-You Susan. I will be sending it back home tomorrow. Thanks everyone, Scott
