Hi fellow cheese-heads!

HI, new here. I usually post on the daylily forum, but I found this one today.

I'm from Southern WI, LOVE daylilies, like hostas and admire irises (most of them rotted last year except for the old fashioned ones due to too much rain). And I tuck into some good hardy flowers just for good measure. I do all my gardening organic/naturally. Not really big on the disease stuff that you need to kill with cancer causing stuff. *smile* If if isn't ALMOST care-free, it's OUTTA HERE!!!! The roses kept getting attacked by the Japanese beetles and the Milky spores weren't cutting it, so, OUTTA HERE! I know, I'm mean. :oP

I know what you mean. I ditched the 2nd last of my roses today... Just can'be be bothered. The final one will be gone by the weekend. Still, I hear Darts Dash will do well. I must try one.

Hi Dani,

Dave the Hostaholic here. Milwaukee area.

I started with roses 8 years ago and finally gave up. The black spot and powdery mildew were too much for me to deal with.

So now here I am with 250+ hostas and still adding more LOL

I have a friend whose brother is in the hosta society of Michigan. i think she said that he has over 400 varieties??? WOWSERS! That is alot of hostas. I'm not sure if I keep track of all of those. I think I maybe have 20 varieties. I do LOVE hostas, though. But I think I love daylilies war more. I've purchased about 80 just this year. Don't know where I'm going to put them, but they are coming none the less!!!!
