This morning was a page from 'gardening hell'. I covered as many hostas as I could last night. Plants are about ten days or more ahead of norm which doesn't help. I got up early to spray water before the sun hit the plants ... it was a balmy 28 degrees here in Rib Mountain in the morning. Everything was crunchy, even the dandelions. As far as I can tell ... yes, there is some damage especially to the thin leaved hostas but overall plants aren't looking too bad. The peonies really perked up. I guess time will tell the rest of the story.

I wish you all good luck with that really cold weather. It got down to 38 very early Sat. morning. A week or so ago we had a very strong cold wind and I lost quite a few daffodil buds. They're brown now. :( We're expecting some warmer weather starting Sunday. Hope you all up north get it too!
