This is one of Terra Nova's (Dam Heims) creations and would be available through a Retail nursery that purchases from them. The only problem is that the TC's are only sold in full trays, usually 72 plants. They occasionally offer some plants in larger pots, in quanities of 18 or 36 at good prices. Don't know about this one.

I grow Podophyllum difforme, a/k/a Dysosma difformis and some of them have very colorful leaf patterns. Haven't found one yet, though, that is identical to the one pictured on the link below.

'Kaleidoscope' is a hybrid which may have P. difforme in its parentage.

I think it will continue to be expensive because it is naturally slow growing.

Many of the plain green Chinese species retail for around $15-20 for a gallon size plant, but these are generally faster to multiply and set seed readily for a good supply of plant material. The stunningly mottled foliage of species such as P. difforme and the famous P. delavayi are slower to multiply and will continue to command high prices because of their uniqueness and the fact that they are now protected species.

$20-35 is a good price for a well rooted gallon size plant of P. x 'Kaleidoscope'
