I'd pick off the flowers & plant them in a sheltered place. You are pushing the hardiness zone. I lost 2 out of 3 (over several years) & the remaining bush suffers from dieback to a greater or lesser extent depending on the winter.

Thanks, bob. The gardener who gave me these cuts the entire bush back every spring. By the end of the summer, when it blooms, it's 6'-7' high. I guess I'll try it in one of my micro zones.
