Check with your local cities or counties, many of them have wood chip & leaf recycling sites where you can get mulch free for the hauling. Also look around for a horse stable or someone that has a back yard small horse barn, usually they don't have enough land to spread their horse manure on so they have a pile someplace behind the barn & you can usually get this free for the hauling. Finally check with a tree removal/trimming service & see if they are doing any work in your area. If they are, lots of times they are willing to dump a load of wood chips in your driveway as it saves them a trip back to their dump site.

Be careful though.. I asked for the normal delivery and I"m still trying to get rid of it. Moral of the story--- be specific. lol
