Thanks, Ron. I'm trying to figure out how (and if) to incorporate it into the book I'm working on. Dreams are so elusive, that there's always the danger of elaborating and adding things that weren't part of the original. I guess that's why I wrote it down right away,

It seems like your dream was deteriorating into a nightmare there at the end!

Depending upon the subject matter of your book, I could see this dream as an introduction or preface. I'm envisioning it set in italics, perhaps on a page of vellum if you're going for a high end book. Something to enhance that dream-like state, that sense of something apart from reality. I would, though, leave out the dog at the end...

And why is it that when I have gardening dreams they always occur after a long day of weeding, and the dreams are filled with nothing but continuous weeds. My bindweed dream was the worst!

I have had a few nightmare garden dreams, but they've had to do with war and destruction not with weeds. They're too gory to tell. I've also had kinder, softer dreams but I'll get banned if I tell those. I have, however, never dreamed about weeds.

I thought right after I woke up (still in a haze) that an idea I'd had the night before would be a good idea for a book or movie.... onces the sleepy was out of my eyes I realized that it made too little sense and it would be crazy! But I guess some dreams could make good books etc. :)

I hope you wrote it down because you can always edit it (and make sense out of it) later. But you don't want to loose that subliminal creative spark.
