It struck me today that gardening wise I am in an orphan area. PA is a long state that goes from the Great Lakes to the Mid Atlantic region. Pittsburgh and the central area of PA cannot be either one of these any more than we can call ourselves midwest or northeast. So where do we belong???? As far as I can tell we belong to no-where. And whereas this might be a problem of logistics, in a more practical sense it is limiting where I can write for. Regional magazines want writers within that region - so I cannot claim to be Great Lakes, Midwest or Mid Atlantic or Northeast.

Does anyone want to adopt the area????
