I want to try and bringback the under growth in the woods.Just looking for something to atract wildlife.

Unfortunately, very few seeds will grow if you just throw them in the woodlands. In mature woods, every spot is shaded and there is intensive root competition. Every spot with sun will likely have saplings already growing there. Less mature woodlands will have masses of weeds growing unless they are mowed.

You could try planting acorns, beech nuts, and Virginia Bluebell bulbs. They have some stored energy, so they can spread there roots farther and get taller before they have to make a living off sunlight and soil nutrients.
