changing fonts for Lisa and anyone else wanting to know how

to change fonts all ya gotta do is insert html code like this:

i is for italics and your text will look like this

just change the [ ]'s to 's

and don't forget the / when you're done

or everything that follows will be whatever you changed it to

and makes web pages look positively wacky

b is for bold
centers text on the page

[p align=right]aligns text to the right margin[/p align] thusly:

so you can really play

with folks heads ...er, eyes ;o)align>

and if you really want to emphasize text, you can increase the font size by typing:

and it will look like this

this is +9

the +# increases the font size that much more above the website defaults

you can add color to your writing as well...

text goes here

eliminate the spaces in front of and immediately following the = sign, i did that so you could see it was there

the following link provides the 6-digit color codes for fonts

Here is a link that might be useful: font colors

And you can change your font face too.

    Like this: text goes here.

Or the color and the face and the size:

    text here

Only use brackets instead of [ ] brackets.

    Ok, ready?

    Now you try it!

    Can we do blink here?

Yes we can! It's kind of obnoxious and annoying, but here's how:

    [blink]text goes here[/blink]

    Welcome back Lisa!

    Cascading style sheets, anyone?

    OK I'm trying italics here
    WOW,/b>
    IT WORKS

Wow! But do you really want to put this new toy in my grubby little hands?

I'll print it out and take a look. Maybe I'll try it out later.

    Thanks for the welcome back!

Watch out cuz it is very hot today and I might have to stay inside and write a bit about my stop smoking, mind/body/spirit trip to camp Canyon Ranch. Since cross posting is not allowed, I'll have to rely on the investigative reporters here to find my camp report and let the rest of the gang know where it is posted.

Sort of like a scavenger hunt!

(Anyone with some extra free time today? Hummmm???)

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong that I can't get color and size change? I have tried it with the the + and = and it still won't work for me.

Did you put the word FONT inside the brackets? And which part of the font you want to change, such as color, size, face?

     Hello!

Do it just like that except replace the [ ] brackets with brackets. And you get:

    Hello!

    Hello Got it. Thanks Loads

    There you go!

This might take the prize for the biggest bump, but I ever so accidentally stumbled upon your lovely forum today and then in a moment so serendipitously immense it is beyond Kismet, found this particular post giving me the answers to questions that have been niggling my brain far too long.

    Thank you, thank you!

    Urm....

    Thank you!!!
