Causes of hackberry not getting fruit?

Hi,
We have a hackberry tree which we planted at least ten years ago to provide food for the birds. It's around fifteen feet tall and it has never had any fruit on it. It receives several hours of sun daily. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Thanks for any ideas.
