Hey there, I replied directly to CL but I need to say here that I think this is a good idea - knowing CL like I do I automatically accept that her ideas are good. This sounds like a fun and beneficial thing to do. If it doesn't come off this year for any reason I hope you don't give up and try every year for this looks like a great opportunity for people like me and others to throw out ideas - some crazy, some not. I'm still hoping that we can do a calendar of "The Women OF GWA." Of course since we are a professional organization it must be professionally done and in good taste. And if that works maybe the next year we can do a "Men Of GWA" or the "GWA Favorite Gardens" calendar. I see it as a fundraiser and a way to publicize ourselves.
Of course I may be off target and this workshop is intended to help us promote ourselves individually. If that's the case then the first thing I suggest is to get a web site. You may have to do a few free articles and free speaking engagements to get your name out there but after a while you need to enter the mainstream and charge the going rate for your talents. If you don't do this then you are undercutting everyone else.
