This will be my third GWA meeting and I have enjoyed them all. I am still a beginner at the writing thing, but have published a few articles here and there. If you are new and this is your first meeting, sign up for the mentor program. You will be partnered with an experienced writer who can help introduce you to people and will be there for problems, helpful advise etc. for the first year.

If you cannot afford/justify the national meeting, there are regional meetings too that you can go to. This is a way to meet local contacts who will help you.

The great thing about GWA annual meetings is that both beginning and well-established garden communicators come. It is a stimulating experience, and I think that everyone comes away inspired and energized. You will see (and get samples of!) new plants and products. YouÂll go to inspiring gardens and hear informative speakers. And youÂll connect with other people who speak and write about gardens and gardening. I hope you come!

The GWA meetings are the best -- most informative, and fun, too. Everyone is helpful and sharing. Incidentally, C.L. will be making a presentation this year! Sure to be "dynamic" ....

I love these meetings too. It doesn't matter what level of writer you are, everyone is very helpful.
I'm a story teller, not an horticulture expert. The hort people have been wonderful in helping me with the nuts and bolt of plants.
Most of all I love to meet the different charactors in our business.
