What is this insect?
I am in India, and I love exploring with my toddler. We came across this bug the size of the top of my pinkie finger. It is has green and white spotted wings, and a deep fucia pink head and legs. It kind of walked like a crab. forward, backward and sideways, and then jumped in a flash, like a grasshopper so fast we had to search to find it again because we couldn't tell what direction it hopped in.
Nobody I talk to has seen one before. Can anyone tell me what it is? Picture attached
