I recently saw a bee that resembled a 'bumblebee' but was coal black .. no yellow on it. Do bumblebees also come in solid black?

Also, the wasps (?yellow jackets)come to the hummingird feeder to drink as well as to/on the fish pond water. Do they use the water for building or just drinking? The pond is covered with them all the time!

We have a 'bee' (LOTS of them!) that looks like a honey bee but buries in the sand and makes a hole ... not honey bees? Are they harmful?

And finally (!!), what brings the little red 'box elder' bugs? Have lots this year but not before.
