Polyphemus Moth Cocoon

Hello! This is my first post here. We god a bunch of Polyphemus moth eggs a couple of months ago and we decided to raise them. (We had a great time raising those eating machines!) Now they are all in cocoons.

The first one cocooned about three weeks ago. From what I've read, usually they emerge in two weeks, so I'm starting to get anxious. My daughter keeps asking me when they are coming out.

We are in FL and the temperature is still in upper 80s outside everyday, and we keep them outside in the shade so I didn't think they would overwinter yet here, but maybe that's the case?? Is it possible it's just take longer to emerge for some reason? is there any sign before they emerge?

If anybody has experience with them, I'd appreciate your expertise!

Thank you!
