I am so confused about what I want even though I have been looking for years (part of the problem - new products keep being developed!). I currently have room for a 30" range, but since mine (relatively new but not honored by manufacturer Amana) has broken multiple times and is not worth repairing again, I need to replace it. I definately want something different: either a 36" pro-style range or a sleek induction cooktop and separate double ovens. The problem is I don't have gas here in my town, and also I need a slide-in model. I really love the Aga, but don't have gas so I would have to get the ceramic top electric. That takes some of the authenticity out of it, and it gets really really hot. The induction is sleek and stays cool, but would cost a lot more money, especially since I would need double oven cabinets and additional electrical. I know the European model of the Aga comes with an induction top, but not here in the U.S. All the U.S. versions of induction ranges are 30" and not very high end in appearance or quality I am afraid. Does you have suggestions I have not thought of?
