Our kitchen layout is actually very similar to the picture you linked, with a French (in our case, a Lacanche) range in an alcove. We used a custom hood liner built by Modernaire

to our exact specifications. We ended up with a 64'' liner. It uses halogen lights, and the dimmer for the lights as well as the infinitely variable speed control for our remote Fantech blower are both mounted on the wall beside the range.

MA is extremely fun to work with and if you can find the LED lights you want I am confident they can use them. They will build the liner to the exact width and depth desired, and can place the duct outlet exactly where it needs to go, avoiding the need to bend and squeeze your ductwork to match a stock liner.
