My pumpkins are about the size of what fits in between when my thumb rests on my index finger. The blooms are coming on now, No other melons squash or cukes have any fruit on them...so go ahead make me jealous....be sure and post some pics though.

I don't have stories to share. This thread makes me feel melon-choly.

I'm feeling melon-deprived. Someone(s) is raiding my melon patches and walking off with new-ripe Ambrosias and two kinds of old-fashioned muskmelons. That and the rodents are chewing through my cucumber patches with gusto. We has 80% cull rate yesterday due to gnawing on the fruit.

Dang, I know that sucks Marshall. I'm surrounded by critters of all kinds but the neighbors behave themselves ok, perhaps because I give them all ripe melons and it takes away the guess work. One of my ambrosias had knaw marks on it's surface and I'm guessing a rabbit couldn't get it's mouth wrapped around it. 3 ears of corn were pretty much shucked on the stalk but nothing was in the trap I set, hopefully not another skunk but maybe a possum? Rain gauge had 0.4" this morning, not much but I'll take it.
