My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Update! Re: Harassment from New Owner

I faxed a letter to my local congressman about the harassment taking place at our complex. He contacted the city attorney, who then contacted me and told me it was illegal for them to enter the apartment to perform renovations when I have not agreed to them. I didn't understand the law, but apparently, you have to agree to repairs. UNLESS they are emergent such as water leaks, then they have the right to enter.

I contacted the owners with this information, and the attempted to harass me further. I finally received a letter from them stating that they will not be performing renovations in our apartment until we have vacated at the end of our lease! I feel as if I won a small battle.

At least I may have some peace while packing! Thanks all!
