every so often, at least in my area, i see a posting on craigslist for people that buy collections. maybe you can try that avenue.

Yes, try craigslist, and backpage.com (if you live near one of the cities listed)

I've sold records on EBAY before, just recently I've been selling old vintage 1930's 1940's records. 78's. I just sold some old 60'/70's Christmas albums the other day.

I agree, it's kinda a pain to go through them all and list all the artists, and all the titles but EBAYers will obviously want to know all the record titles.

You may want to go through the albums and pick out a few that seem more valuable, and sell those seperately.

Records get very heavy (and expensive) when you're sending a lot of them. I suggest shipping them via USPS media mail. It will take a long time to get to the buyer, but as long as they are notified, they should be ok with it.

and of course, a picture is worth 1000 words, so use plenty of pictures if you can

good luck :)

Thank you ottoman, I passed this along to my DH. Appreciate it.
