Loss of Chenago marsh [Binhamton]

For those in the Binghamton NY area we are losing one of our biggest wildlife marshes. The marsh that is just past the rt12\12a intersection is now slatted to become another gas station, plaza, ect. This marsh has been there for ages. Weather it was a natural marsh or created by man it has evolved into a prime animal habitat not to mention a recharge for the aquifer. This wetland absorbs millions of gallons on rain run off. Now there are signs in place to fill in 123 acres of prime wetlands for development and money.I've contacted The US Fish and wildlife,DEC,and Army Engineers. FWL says its out of their hands. DEC I was told they'd pass it along to local office.I requested a reply and received none the same goes for the Army Engineers. Next is the town of Chenago. I putting money on it they'll see TAX DOLLARS and do nothing. I need your help. I know there are people that hike this land. I'm hoping to find them and many others to stop this loss.If we can stop the loss I'd like to find professional people to help get grants to buy this land and maintain it as a wildlife preserve. Thank you Craig
