Several years ago we replaced ours with what is essentially the current ceran downdraft version. That surface has been too big of a step down in responsiveness. It has been a constant chore to remove baked on stains. The oven is adequate but swings 35 degrees. For long low temp slow cooking this hasn't been unusable. The Electrolux induction range is a strong option. The dimension of the upper front is 31-1/2. This doesn't blend well with our existing setup.

Unless this spring brings more options I will go with separates. AEG 30" zoneless with a last gen Miele Chef or Gagg and a Bosch downdraft for better venting.

Only Jenn-Air ranges come with built-in downdrafts. The only other range that works with a downdraft is Dacor. Other downdrafts only work with cooktops, not ranges.

I also have a Jenn Air downdraft that I know will need replacement sometime soon. Above it is a OTR microwave which is only 5 years old but is making horrible sounds so I think it is going too. Is there ANY OTR microwave that has decent venting?

I'm looking at the Electrolux slide in induction range because it seems it would fit the space. I do have an island but it is only 23 inches wide on the end where I might be able to put a microwave by cutting out a section of the cabinet. Any other options I've not thought of???
