Art deco? Maybe from the 30s. I really like them!

It does look deco...but I don't think it's that old. Unless it was packed in tarnish free cloth for 60 years....
But keep in mind...I bought it at the Salvation Army thrift store!!

Good eye, Linda (of course)! I wonder if they have religious significance . . . ?

I think they look sort of Scandinavian. I've seen pewter sets that are similar.

They look like they were part of a centerpiece--maybe a bowl went in the center. But religious? Not enough candles for a menorah.

And Amy? Since when does cheap junk from China add romance to anything?

Spam answers.

I better go back and look for a bowl!!...
I was thinking just as they are arranged in the picture...on a runner down the table....with perhaps some "things" as well...pine cone, small apples, little brass figurines, tiny bowls with one flower.
Still don't know what, who or where...

Great find--I like them---They do look art deco to me.

You mention about the weight of the pieces. Are they by any chance magnetic. Brass is not a heavy metal.

Brass not a heavy metal? Well, no it's not uranium.
Some specific gravity figures:
Cast Iron 7.13
Steel 7.8
Brass 8.4
Lead 11.35
Not as lightweight as we thought?

I think they look more Danish modern than Art Deco.

I think they are definitly newer than the "deco" period....

Machine-age art deco was slightly later and more streamlined...think 30s...
