What's happening with your oven?

Hi pinch! I'll be right back.

I just went in and used a damp paper towel over the bottom of the oven. A couple of small flakes. I've been using the oven a lot and sort of expected this. I'm so thrilled with the induction part of the range that the oven isn't stressing me out as it was before. I haven't cleaned the oven since the shell was replaced, but just sliding the racks in and out .... oh well. I still wouldn't trade it. I'll just get the shell replaced every 6 mo. or so.

Next you'll have "a thing" for your repair man! I guess you dare not clean your oven in case it breaks!

Sears is still holding firm on the price. It's on sale every week; alternating the same two prices. And not such a good deal that I feel like I'd better rush right out and get one. In fact, with our repeating power outages I'm thinking LP and a gas stove. I love, love, love gas anyway and should never have gone electric in the first place. I'd probably save almost $2,000.

I am enjoying mine so much too. I just wish I were a better cook!

I used the temp probe at Christmas to do a turkey breast and it turned out beautifully.

beachlilly -- if you ever use the Slow Cook feature let me know. I am so curious about it but am afraid to try it.

pinch -- I paid 2099 for my range and have NEVER seen it that cheap ever again.

I'm beginning to think I'll never see the less than $2700 price I had in December. Oh, well, I don't NEED one. Maybe by Sept. it will go down if/when the new models come out. OR I'll go the gas stove. A lot depends on what happens to our electric substation this summer. It it's not upgraded then I will go gas.

I'm tempted with the Slow Cook, too. On Feb. 1 my husband will have Prostrate surgery. I'm going to talk to the someone at Mayo to find out what he can eat. Hey, maybe I can do this before we go up there. I'm just a mess right now, trying to get things done. I'll try it asap and get back here!

Pinch, make a decision! Quite waffling!

Can't! Have to know the power company's plans for us. Induction won't work without electricity. And Sears hasn't had a real sale. They call it a sale but it isn't. Want the induction but gas may have to be the answer this time around. And that won't break my heart. Love gas.
