34' Induction cooktop?

The existing hole is 34 x 20.5 and houses an old smoothtop radiant cooktop. I don't want to replace countertops if I can help it. Any recommendations?

Depending on your cabinets beneath it, it might be possible to stick in a 36" (the forum software turns inches to feet in the title--not you!). Most countertop holes can be enlarged. What's it made of?

(If you want to wait for my remodel, I do have a 34" induction cooktop, but it was made in 1983...the new ones don't seem to come in that size anymore as far as I know.)

If going a couple inches bigger doesn't work for you, try looking at the European "30 inch" ones. The Miele is over 31", and could probably be made to fit your cutout with a little trim around it. Whereas the American ones of the same nominal size are under 29".

BTW, if you want to put and inches mark in the title, just use two single quotes as I've done on this reply.
