I'm pretty sure that that's the one we had--it definitely had sealed burners (and very large burner caps!). I don't know much about the other range, other than it existed. If I'm remembering correctly, that one does not have a window in the door?

Thanks for your response, cat mom. I had the opportunity to see the Maytag version of the Jade in a showroom here in NJ (very large oven window, a line of buttons on the front panel?) The model has been discontinued, they are selling their floor model at a large discount. Dvorson's advises me to run, not walk, away from this model.

However, now I'm thinking that the classic Jade range is worth another look. Yes, it does have a small oven window.

Despite having problems with the Wolf range(s) we got to replace the Jade, we are still much happier with it and are very glad we were able to wash our hands of the Jade range we had. We had been so excited when we'd ordered it, and like I said, it looked so pretty in our kitchen--it hurt like heck when we realized it had to go. It was the right choice though (to push for the buy-back), and we knew it.
