Warranty is 5 years and you contact Whirlpool directly. They give you all the contact info when you purchase the appliances at Ikea.

I'd like to know what Ikea does about a customer wanting to return a big item like an appliance. When I bought all my appliances, Ikea was not an option. In 2011 I would go Ikea for induction, I'd look at the counter-depth fridge, I'd consider the wall oven (maybe), and I'd only get the dishwasher if I could return it easily. (With a 56 db rating it might be a bother in an open area kitchen, and might be considered quiet if the kitchen had doors that closed).

Get appliances late not early. There will be another sale. Or, if you are buying enough kitchen cabinetry to get the 20% discount, you can negotiate to get the discount on all further purchases above $1000 later this year.
