I know we are enjoying seeing the pics of your wonderful ideas, so keep them coming. I enjoying seeing everyone's pics and the comments.

I even went to TJ's to buy a white bunny to put with all my Easter things. Can't think about that yet, Valentine's and St Patrick's first.

Thanks to all the posters for such an interesting thread. The Holidays board has a new popularity!!

Kathleen li, Isn't it funny--we don't even know we want it or need it--until someone mentions it or shows us a picture! LOL

I don't know about you gals, but I feel like I'm coming down after a bunny hunting frenzy! Judith showed us her wonderful bunnies and plates, and suddenly we were all checking all the stores to see what we could find! Ha ha

Thank goodness I needed to get some yard work done, so that interrupted the shopping cycle I was on--my budget needed the break!

Not to say I won't be back out there over the weekend or next week--just don't want to miss any wonderful finds. And I can always find a way to justify it if I find something I really want. Hmmm--now how can I trim this weeks grocery list? Ha ha Just joking--not to worry--the addiction isn't quite that bad--YET!

I'm glad you are all enjoying the pics. I'll try to post some more on Monday, I don't know how to download from my camera to this laptop yet at home...

luvs, I know, it's so hard to make choices, but you're right, getting the "practical" and therefore more versitile first is important. Thats why alot of times I will only buy the "accent" plates, to put with the "plain" ones, because it will dress them up so nicely and you don't have to spend the money on a whole "set".

Sandi, Thats why I liked that photo, the addition of the simple, plain, glass vases in multiple numbers made a stunning table just because of using alot of one "plain" thing, even the flowers they used would not be that expensive.

kathleen, that's a bummer you don't have those stores, but I'll bet you have other good ones in your area, yes?
I'm the same way, I love looking at everyone elses purchases, even if I can't have them, it is such fun to see everyone else's goods and how they use them.

Luvs, Bunny ownership is a good addiction!! LOL At least that's what I tell myself and anybody else that I run into. And you are so right, many times after I see something someone has done in their home, sometimes its like seeing it for the first time LOL, it will put a light-bulb in my head and I will think, OK, I can do that, who'd have thought?

    Good Morning Ladies,
I think all of us here love seeing what others have found and sharing our own finds! Judith, I have the outlets and Target 45 min away, and a TJMaxx about 15 min. We do have Home Goods and Marshalls, but they are an hour up the island, so I don't get there that often, which is a GOOD thing!
I am also a cooking nut, so I have lots of serving pieces, casseroles, etc. Last March I had emer surgery and my shopping was curtailed. A few days after I got home from the hosp a package arrived, and dh couldn't figure out how I had shopped. While I was recoup I was watching QVC and w/o dh knowing bought a 3 pc buffet/cook set. It has 3 stainless 3 qt pots with glass lids and a burner unit. Each burner can be adj, so you can cook or just keep warm. I love it, and have used it often for entertaining, but did I NEED it, no. So I just fig I bought myself a bday gift. Everyone who sees it wants to know where I got it. It is handy, you may have seen it on QVC. 3 easy payments, no shipping, I couldn't resist! LOL And, it is very attractive and looks good when I set up the buffet.
But, I am not a shoe or pocketbook nut like so many of my friends are! The dishes won't go out of style!! And, I am a bargain hunter...relentless in finding good things for the best price.

Luvs, I do a lot of gardening so I'm hoping that in a couple of months I'll be doing too much of it to have time to go shopping. Of course, everyone always needs new flowers and pretties for their gardens. Poor DH!

Judithva, You know what they say about bunnies multiplying! LOL Has anyone seen the giant bunnies on the news that North Korea is going to start raising for their food needs? They were given 12 rabbits and said in 8 yrs (I think that's how many years) those 12 rabbits will be in the millions!

Kathleen_li, Who would think anyone could shop while in the hospital, especially after surgery? lol Your buffet cook set sounds very nice. And, of course, you NEEDED it!

Sandi, sure hope that even when you get busy outside, you'll still take time to come by here at least once or twice each day! It will feel like we've lost a friend if you don't. ;o)

That is interesting about the bunnies in North Korea--I know they are a good food source, but I feel about them the same as I do about deers--just too cute to kill. LOL

There's just something about the bunnies that makes them ideal to decorate with. Love adding a bow and some flowers,-- and they are the perfect thing to set in or next to some greenery on a windowsill, vignette, or table centerpiece. I even have a few of mine on the floor to fill in an empty spot next to a piece of furniture.

DH has projects lined up for me to help him with today--so that will keep me out of the stores! Ha ha

DD #2 called me on Thurs.saying she was very sick with the flu as was the 'little guy'. This DD lives about an hour away(Orange County)so left Thursday night, DH is away on business so I needed to come up and take care of them. Baby(7 months)was over the worst of it,but being he was very quiet, knew he still wasn't feeling his 'oats'.

Anyway, didn't get a chance to shop for my bunnies or cabbage plates, but am hopping they get better as she wants to shop, too. They have a Homegoods, Ross, Tj's and pretty much all the same stores I have in SD. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It's 9am and they're still sleeping so am waiting for them to wake up.;o)

Thanks for the welcome Kathleen. I love this forum & the decorating forum.

Judith, did go to Home Goods but they didn't have any of the yellow cabbage plates. It was freezing out & the store was very crowded, so I imagine things like that go fast. Was surprised to see so many people out shopping when it was so cold!

I did find some yellow plates, they are smaller, like a dessert plate and look like a daffodil, so kind of cute, but not the cabbage ones.

Judith, waiting to see pics of your Easter centerpieces, need ideas!!! LOL (soon you will be charging us for all this free advice)!

Yachter, Forgive my late welcome. It seems my manners are slipping. I guess my head is too full of holiday ideas.

Your little yellow plates sound like they may be the same as mine. I love, love, love them. We won't be limited to Easter with them. I think a pic of mine are posted in the bunny plates thread started by Luvs. I really like the cabbage plates, but couldn't find any when I bought my little flower ones.

I'm still working on Valentine's and St Paddy's so Easter will have to wait a little while for me, but I'm always ready to see everyone else's ideas.

You are welcome Yachter. It is very cold here too, I just tried to take a walk to the beach, got half way and came back, my lips were frozen!!!
Looking fwd to your future posts and pics. I haven't mastered the pics to the forum. I did email Sandi a pic of the shells I got for free as napkin rings, I must learn to get them here!

Something strange is going on with this board today. For one thing, I noticed that when I posted a reply to tamgypsy about her Valentine's Day tablesetting it put part of her message in mine.

Also, just wanted to say, I know there were posts I should have replied to on this thread, but there are so many of them I keep forgetting who or what I need to reply to so please don't think I haven't read everything.

Kathleen_li's shell napkin rings are really pretty and such a good idea.

Hello Sandi, I took a peak at the "bunny plate" thread and your yellow plates and they are very pretty. Mine are a bit different, will take a pic of them & post it tonite.

I wanted to hit Marshalls yesterday but it was -30 windchill and I just couldn't make myself get out of the car one more time!

We are supposed to be this cold til next Thursday, so I won't be doing much "goody hunting" in stores til it warms up!

Yes, something is strange. Sev times my message wouldn't post, and now I see it twice. Very strange.

I think the red message on the main page is saying they are still working on replacing hardware to fix things on here. I know it is frustrating when it works so slow, or won't let you post at all. Sure hope they find the difficulties soon. It has warmed up a bit here finally--hope to get out and around a bit tomorrow to see if there are any new things in the stores--not really looking for anything in particular--still thinking on the plates, might stop by Marshall's to see if they are still there or not. I'll let you all know if I find anything good. Luvs

Kathleen - I am ROFL about your shopping while recouperating! That would be me. I am passionate about shopping for kitchen and home things, pocketbooks and shoes not so much. My DH swears that FedEx and UPS fight at the end of the driveway to see who gets to go first!!LOL.

OT - Have you been to the Woodbury outlets? I am thinking about taking a trip, but haven't had any feedback from anyone who's been. Any comments would be appreciated if you know anything about them. Promised DD and DM that we would do a shopping trip maybe in the Fall. We went to Colonial Williamsburg a few years back. Did the colonial thing for 2 days and then we discovered the outlets. Too funny, the rest of our trip was spent shopping.

    Thanks for the laugh!

    Lab,
I have been to Woodbury Commons once. It is about 3 hours from me...I am on the eastern end of L.I. Woodbury was a lovely outlet, many clusters of shops. I have a Tanger Outlet 45 min from me that has many of the same stores, and I know it like the back of my hand (maybe cause I spend too much time there). However, it was about 5 yrs ago that I was at Woodbury so they might have more/diff stores than we have here.
When you were in Williamsburg did you go to the Williamsburg Pottery outlet??. Supposedly they have great deals on dishes. Happy shopping! And always check if you are NY, Conn, Mass, NJ, areas for www.Christmastreeshops.com (they have a flyer up now). They have some very nice things for great prices.
Luvs, are you practicing those bunnies????

yachter123, welcome, and my gosh I LOVE those flower plates!! They would look fab on the larger green cabbage plates! If I had seen them I'd have bought them in a heartbeat (I love flowers) You are off to a great start!
I'm still playing around with my V-Day, and my Easter looks, you should see all the combos on my table right now, it looks like a dish explosion!!!!!!

Oh when I lived in NY I used to go to Woodbury Commons all the time! I did more looking than buying, at the time I was saving to buy a home....

I live near the WPottery, they have some great stuff there, but nothing like 20 yrs ago, new people own it now, so it has changed a bit, but certain things are still great bargins.

I bought a few more goodies Sunday, I could not resist, there were fantastic prices on some stem ware (2.99 each instead of the normal $20.00 - $30.00 price tag), picked up some small bunnies-choclate and rust colored, either I'll used them outside, or if I do a "chocolate" table then they would be cute, I so wish I could find some chocolate colored dinner plates and accent plates for a good deal. I love chocolate and white together, actually very regal looking....

A great website to visit: www.carolyneroehm.com She does beautiful work, wonderful eye candy,....but the prices are only for the RICH. I just do a lot of "substitutions" when I copy a "look". Which always turns out just fine IMHO.

    last modified: 11 years ago

Wow, a chocolate table, now there's a challenge!!! I would love to see it if you do it. I HAD chocolate colored dishes, my first when I got married, from Mikassa! I gave them away ...and they were in perfect condition too. See you never know when you are going to need something! I picture one of those PODS out side your house for all your goodies!!! Where DO you keep all this stuff?? I always felt alone in my addiction, but these forums have taught me there are hundreds of us! Not one of my friends would ever think of having all this stuff, They are very anti clutter, their basements and attics exist to be empty, so I am the leper here! They don't believe anyone needs more than 2 sets of dishes!!!!

Paintingfool, that is very sweet of you, I do try to copy some of her things...(cheaper version) this is an example of something I am working on right now (just like the pic above with the white lacy dishes). The heart favor was purchased last week at Walmart, I will add some tiny white ribbon inconjunction with the red you see. The white dishes were bought inexpensively from Marshalls a few months ago.

PS. I will be using a white table cloth, I just laid a napkin down under the plates to "get an idea" of how the white tablecloth would look on my stuff.

    last modified: 11 years ago

Opps, slight additon...the top lacy plates from Marshalls, the bottom "lacy" plates I bought a year or so ago from Mikasa Outlet. For the glass ware I will be reusing my ever versitile red cut glasses from Walmart.

PS this forum is Loading reallllll slow for me today

Judith...love that look...I have one mikasa plate like that that I bought to hang on the wall. I have been trying to find more ever since ..I can't even seem to locate the pattern name on any of the mikasa websites...:(

Yachter the yellow plates are very bright and happy looking...I think they will look great in several different possible combinations.

Yachter,a big WELCOME to you! You're going to love this forum and get more than just an eyefull of eye candy!

I have to tell you I love those Daffodil plates and just saw them yesterday at Homegoods. They would add a special look to any table and can be used thru the spring and summer months, outside or inside. Can't wait to see what you do with them!

Okay Judith, what did you get on your week-end shopping expedition~you know we're a nosey bunch!LOL I know you'll show us eventually, but you have to take care of those everyday things in life FIRST. You did mention more choc. bunnies and a brown/white table~that sounds so pretty. I will keep my eyes open for brown plates.

Wowsa, wowsa, wowsa! Seeing those beautiful Valentine decos makes me want to decorate for Valentines Day! I absolutely love the stacking plate since I love Roses so much. I think one done with all cream flowers would be pretty, and could be used during the summer season, and even spring. Wouldn't that be beautiful on the tables at a wedding reception? Can imagine the expense too!LOL Pf, seems you know Judith and her taste pretty well. Will be watching to see if she does one of those stacking plates.

Aw Judith, the Rose heart is sooooo pretty, especially with your beautiful dishes. Makes for a nice place setting 'as is',but we all know you better than that, so will be expcting more. DD/SO are sure lucky to have you as their personal Valentine Day 'one-woman-decorating/entertaining-committee'!LOL LOL Will have to talk to DD and see what she and DH are doing~with a new baby, maybe I could 'cook up' a special evening for the two of them. ;o)

Did anyone happen to see the pretty pink stem glasses at Homegoods, sort of a cut glass? At 3.99 each,I couldn't resist,so will be taking the Target ones back. Just one problem, they only had four, so will be shopping two other stores in the area~keep your fingers crossed! I did see the bunnies you were talking about Judith, and am thinking, and thinking....Am still up at DD's(she loves to shop)so will be going out again today. I looked at the bunny plates and am now totally confused as to if I want those or the cabbage plates~decisions, decisions, decisions!LOL

Sorry this post is so long, but I wanted to put everything in one post. ;o)

patty cakes, you're killing me, LOLOLO I was trying to go "understated" this time, since most people think my stuff is over the top and expensive (I don't mean that in a bad way) LOL , I was just trying to show you all, that people can get a nice look going simple too. LOLOLOLOOL
So you want flash, huh? OK, I'll work on it..... LOL

The stemware I bought this Sunday was some simple flower etched tall stemed wine glasses, some Lenox light blue glasses, some bright aqua stemed glasses. Large pink bunny plates,.... dang, I forgot what else, that is sad......

I probably won't get to Home Goods for a while, my DD is not fond of going there alot (cause I spend a long, long, long time there ) LOLOL

Bebe, I love your DH's comment about UPS and FedEx fighting. That's a good one! And thank you for posting the pics from Carolyne Roehm. I love the red stacking plates and the roses on it are very elegant.

Judith, I love both of your white lacy plates. Your Valentine dinner is going to look very elegant also. And your red cut glass stemware. Very pretty.

Patty_cakes, I knew I should have gone to Home Goods yesterday, but I made myself pass it by. I will have to go see their pink stemware. Ours didn't have any last time I was there.

Wow! Lots of great eye candy on here today. Judith, those white plates are so gorgeous. Love them.

Bebe, those stacked plates with the roses are wonderful. We all love roses, don't we. The wreath looks like carnations--that wouldn't be too hard to do--would take allot of carnations I'll bet.

Kathleen, you asked if I have been playing with the bunnies????? I stopped at Marshall's and bought the Momma with the baby bunny. Not sure what it is, has a lid on it, but looks like a planter with the lid removed. I'll have to get a pic taken. I had seen it before but thought I'd bought enough at the time--it kept "calling" to me, so I went and bought it! LOL

Have a "new baby" at my house now. Got a new golden retriever puppy--what a sweetie. Our four year old is doing really great with her too--now he will have a buddy to play with. ;o)

Keep these great ideas and pics coming--I'm lovin it! Got to go check out that website to see what other things are there. Going to have to get a new keyboard soon--I've heard that "drool" isn't very good for them. Ha ha

Those lacy plates are beautiful, Judith. I need to find a few of those. The little heart favor is perfect, not sure if I would like it as much with white ribbon, maybe a few pearls though. Once did a wedding with all red roses and white pearls laced through the bouquet. I loved the heart sucker placed in the center of the place setting from Carolyne Roehm, very whimsical.

Sandi, it wasn't my hubby that talked about the UPS and FEDEX guys, it was labmomma, however, my son does own several FEDEX routes here in the south. I don't order on line very often, I like to feel what I buy.

Luvs, congrats on the new puppy, he sounds like fun. I had a tiny teacup poodle at Christmas (1.5 pounds) but I sold her. I don't want to get attached to another pet because I feel so bad when I have to leave them in the house and it is like taking care of a newborn - I'm too old for that now.

Patty, I think doing the stacking plates in cream and pink flowers would be beautiful - of course you can always use silks. I too am partial to pinks. It looks like they used several colors in the arrangements - red, blush, pinks, etc. I don't have any weddings coming up but since I am the one to always do the decorating, I am going to keep this in mind for the next one. What about the stacking plates done in flowers, the chair backs covered with two battenburg lace placemats tied to the chair with ribbon to match the flowers (more for wooden back chairs, battenburg lace table runners and one of Judith's tablesettings??? Doesn't your mind just go wild contemplating how to decorate tables for any occasion? I have started keeping a journal book just for these types of things, I even print out some of the pictures so I won't forget. I think I have it bad now LOL.

Sorry labmomma and Bebe. I knew I would get something wrong on this post with so many of us posting. LOL

Luvs, A new baby! You will have so much fun and she will be company for your big boy. Can't wait to see your new bunny.

Bebe, The battenburg lace idea sounds beautiful with the stacking plates done in flowers. And I like the idea of pearls with Judith's rose hearts.

Judith..I am with Patty...LOL... I love when your table is 'over the top'...:)

On another note...I did have some money stashed away for a piece of jewelery I was saving for...but I decided I wouldn't wear it that often and it'll free up some more budget for my new addiction...LOL
But I also decided not to get the mikasa bowls at this time for my valentines table...I'll use what I have and ask for them for my birthday in April...:)
So... during lunch i went to some of my favorite 'dish hunting places' and I didn't find any dishes I liked...But...I went to Tuesday mornings and found a bunny...it looks like my big 'accident' bunnys brother...LOL
It is the fitz and floyd bunny that I think the larger bunny from Ross was modeled after and I got it for $13...I think he was mismarked because usually tuesday's is not that cheap.
Now keep in mind I LOOOOOVE the bunny from Ross he is big and beautiful...and special to me because of the whole adventure he was involved in...but I am also a 'sucker' for finding collectibles at a good price and I am just so thrilled with my find...:)
Now I have the bunny that traveled from VA for the Diningroom and the new little guy will find a home in my master bedroom...:)

tamgypsy, I'm glad you found the bunny at Tuesday Morning. That was a good price. Pretty soon it will be time for everyone to really set their tables for Valentine's Day and then Easter (or St Paddy's for some of us). I can't wait to see all of the pics.

tam, you know you are a dish addict when you give up the jewerly....LOL

That is so cool that you found the other bunny, it was ment to be!

Good idea about getting dishes for B-days, I suggested that on my DD and because of her I have alot of beautiful things, she bought most of my beloved gold and stainless flatware over the years, so the flatware has a special place in my heart.
This is a small view of the forks. I wanted this set just because of the design of the forks. LOL

    last modified: 11 years ago

Oh, Tam, what a great find for you. I am so happy for you. That brown bunny Judith found at Ross was the prettiest one I've seen so far. My Ross has not had any like it at all--and I have looked several times! And now you have two. Hard to believe a Fitz & Floyd for that price--it really was meant to be. Are you planning to use one of them for your Easter decorating? Will be so cute no matter where you put them.

Judith, the design in your forks is really special. Isn't it great when our family members listen to us and give us what we really want? You have such great taste, I just love everything you have. ;o)

Bebe, we wanted the new puppy so the older one would have a companion to play with--I thought he was bored with just DH and me to play with. This little girl is so sweet--I love dogs!

Sandi, I get confused as to who said what on here too--always having to go look at what they wrote again! Of course, I do have "oldtimers" disease. LOL

Sandi, Kathleen, Judith & Patty, I have no idea how I'll use the plates, I'm truly a novice at this, since just recently discovering Judiths creations!!!! LOL

I bought 4 of them, but they also had a very large one, looked like a chip & dip deal, had the center part raised up like a bowl, like a real daffodil flower would be. I thought about that for the start of a centerpiece, but have little to no clue what I'm doing, so thought I'd err on the safe side with 4 small plates!

I really like the centerpieces Judith does with a very large rooster or rabbit, seems like the large animal is a good base for most centerpieces. I don't know how I'd fit in a large bunny with the really large platter (chip & dip) type dish! Call me confused!!

yachter, So many decisions out there! I have no idea, even at this late date, what I'm going to do for a centerpiece for my Valentine's table much less for Easter. I guess if we just keep looking the perfect idea will jump out at us. Everyone on here has had some wonderful ideas.

yachter123, the daffodil plates would look nice on a simple white dinner plate, or if you see the green dinner cabbage plates, it would look beautiful on those too. IMHO

Luvs, that's nice you got another doggie friend. I only have one dog

Yachter, I am sure you will find a way to use the plates. At least they make you FEEL warm..they are bright and cheerful.
Judith, I noticed those forks in one of your previous posts, how unusual they are. Is there a special name for them? They are very ornate, Victorian?
The pink and silver is beautiful. I never would have thought to use what looks like ceramic cups with such fine old glassware. I wish I hadn't ditched my dresser tray, I see they have used one in the center. Maybe they were going for a mix of old and new. I realize the dishes aren't china and the cup matches the dish, but somehow with those beautiful old glasses and silver pieces I would have liked china. But I am conservative in taste.

I will check out those sites, thanks for passing them on. I am going to check at the library for the Carolyne Roehm books. If they don't have them I will ask them to borrow them from another lib in the county.
When you go to the Library section of her site, they preview her books. There is a table for 4th of July I just love. Very simple to do, too.
Last year when Pfaltgraff had their clearance I bought 14 white star shaped plates that I will use for July 4th, hey even Memorial Day and Flag Day. Got to get use from that purchase. Can't wait for warmer weather!!

kathleen, Oh those star plates will be fun for you, what a great look you'll have. My silverware is a "modern" set, darned if I can remember the name, I'll look tonight. Like I said, I wanted them just becasue of the forks LOLOLO

I love the mix/contrast between the fancy and the simple, but it doesn't work for everything, that look can be hard to pull off. Also, that was a picture from her store, I suspect there was more on the table than normal, just to help "sell" the products...

I hope you can find the Roehm books. I understand they are much more affordable on Amazon.

Judith, Another pretty tablesetting and 2 websites to check out. Thanks for sharing.

Kathleen_li, Your star plates sound great. You could even use your stars for Christmas and New Year's. Are they full size plates? And what are you going to use with them for 4th July? "Enquiring minds want to know" LOL

Judith, your little guy is a doll! I think you've said his name is Toby, right? I love dogs--they are always so happy to see you, and can always make you laugh. I'll get some pics taken of our new little girl so I can show you. She is such a sweetie and is doing really well with our 4 yr old dog, Dusty. The hard part for him was having to share his toys! Ha ha

I love the white, pink, silver combo. Those glass stems really add some sparkle with that mirror tray. Wonder what the items in the bowls are? Very unusual. I truly don't care about things being "proper", I care more that they are pretty and make my pulse quicken with delight--all the pics you share do that for me--thank you so much.

Have you visited www.makeminepink.com? There are a whole group of shops there that are fun to browse through.

I really liked the little pink dishes that were posted when we were talking about Tender Heart Treasures too--but my favorite "pinks" are the things with roses on them too!

Yachter, I love Judith's idea using the cabbage plates~even if they had the larger plates, it might be too much of the yellow. The green would be a great contrast. You could get the dip/chip plate and use it for veggies or fruit. I have one, and use three or four different veggies and a wonderful dill dip or fruit with a great yogurt dip. Like Judith said, 'think outside the box'. Just because it looks like a dog, and barks like a dog, doesn't mean it is a dog! Could be a cat in costume~you get my 'drift.LOL

And speaking of dogs,as that sure doesn't look like a mask Judith,Toby is a little doll!I can understand 'the stinker' part, but we love them anyway.

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the pink/silver/white table setting! Macy's had dishes that were about the same color, with a co-ordinating floral~it was love at first sight for me! My pink dishes are very similiar with the beading, but octagon in shape. Best .99 cent values I ever bought! The glasswear looks like the old Fostoria my Mom used to have. I see a lot of it, not too badly priced in antique stores~just one more thing I would like to have.LOL Will check out the website~i'm sure it's not too 'shabby' coming from you, Judith!LOL

Kathleen, just an FYI for ya, BL has dresser trays and cheap cheap cheap! They might come with a couple of tchotkes, but you can ditch those. Or try a thrift store, or consider a wall mirror. The star plates sound very uinique. Christams would also be a great time to use them, too! Like Sandi said, we're all starting to think alike.LOL

Oh, Sandi, you are such a smart cookie! I did use a few at Christmas. I had them on the buffet with cookies.. I have a three tiered silver tray in the shape of stars, (actually, I have 2 of them, my friend was with me when I bought it at the Mikassa outlet years ago, and she bought one too. The next year she gave me hers, she said she doesn't entertain and knew she would never use it!) so I used the white stars too.
I would say they are larger than a salad plate, but not as big as a dinner plate, so I guess I would have to find something for underneath. Don't know that I would do that for outside though. I will have to see if it sits on my clear glass plates that I have tons of and usually use for parties outside.I don't think it would look good, but should I worry for chili, pulled pork and hot dogs, etc! LOL
    Luvs,
I didn't mean the mix on the pink and silver wasn't proper, just to my eye I would either go more fine china, or stoneware like the cups, and chunkier glassware. As Judith said, that look is hard to pull off, and I don't feel confident in my abilities!!! I too love all the pics posted here, and they have inspired me to get some acc books from the library. I wouldn't buy them as a coffee table acc as when my 3 gkids who are 5 and under arrive, it is clear the decks!
