A pretty tablesetting

I saw this lovely winter tablesetting on a blog and thought y'all would enjoy seeing it too.

I am SO glad to be here tonight!! Last night I got a major computer virus that really messed me up. It slowly shut down my AOL, and Internet Explorer, and froze my McAfee virus protection. What a mess. I had to call someone one to come clean it up, $180 later things are back to normal. Whew.

Plus from 7am to dark I had roofers here pounding away as we had to get a new roof. They'll be back tomorrow to finish it up.

But with no computer today, and all the noise, I got busy and got my Christmas down and packed away. Except the half dozen bins on back porch that go in the little storeroom in the backyard. I have to get other stuff out of there and put the Christmas in the back. Ugh.

I'm still waiting on the doctors paperwork to be dealt with so Dad can be admitted to the care facility. I am

hoping by end of week but who knows.

Happy Jan 12th ;o)

hugs, Karen

Karen, computer viruses are not fun. I use Norton and have never had to deal with one. DS is an IT guy so that has kept me away from them.

It'll be nice to have your new roof completed and take away another thing to have to worry about. I think the perfect thing would be to build a new home every 10 years but can't seem to convince DH this is the way to go. I keep mentioning it but he doesn't want to think of the work involved.

Enjoyed seeing this snowy tablescape. Love the blue with snow and her dishes were so neat. I looked at some of her other tables and will go back and do some more browsing when I have more time.

We have another storm watch tonight. Enjoyed dinner with friends tonight and discussed alot of the worlds issues.lol DF sent me home with a new apple pie dish and a new cook book. I told her it was great to be invited for dinner and also receive gifts.

Hope you can get all the paper work in order for DD soon. Is the bed sores doing any better? Take care and will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Sorry for your 'Expensive' PC woes..It's hard to remember what our lives were like BEFORE we had them.
Anyway, this is a pretty tablesetting. Those snowman plates are adorable and I love how she layered them with the plaid underplate. Looks as though everyone's winter tables are white and icy blue...which seems to be the perfect color combo for these tablesettings..
You know All these snowmen tablesettings have actually 'jarred my memory' to a set of snowmen plates I bought last yr at GW. I had completely forgotten about them. Now I have to find what shelf and in which box I stashed them!

What a pretty "snowy" table! That big snowman dispenser is just so CUTE! I'm glad the dispenser is located at his belly button...I was beg to wonder! LOL! Her dishes are sweet & I love the Ross runners! TFS, PM!

Keeping you in good thought & prayer...hoping DD was on his way finding more comfort...I am sure Zorro is his constant companion in the BR. Hugs to you, Jeanne S.
Glad your computer is back in shape!

    Cute tablescape thanks for sharing.

Before this forum, ALL my xmas decor got put away right after New Years, I would have never thought to leave out snowmen. Isn't that funny????

It never occured to me, it's still WINTER, snowmen are for winter!!!

Ok, computer viruses, NO FUN, seems like when it rains Karen, it pours, but you got it fixed lickity split & are back online.

Yes, before computers & internet, we busied ourselves with our children & our homes, now if the internet or computer goes down, we PANIC (me included).

I HATE to talk on the phone, so email is great for me to stay in touch with friends. I have some that work & I may email them in the morning, they may answer early evening & I may not see it til late evening, but doesn't matter, we can still stay in touch at whatever time is convenient to each of us.

I know taking your dad is hanging heavy on your shoulders & having to wait for paperwork is just prolonging it, but that seems to be with everything, hurry up & wait. You'd think with computers & fax machines, they could crank out paperwork in a nano-second, but not so.

Thinking of you & prayers still your way.

Very pretty table, love those snowmen plates--bet you liked the cardinals, didn't you Karen? ;o)

Hope your roofers don't start too early in the morning! Not a pleasant way to wake up. LOL

Isn't it the pits when you know something is going to happen but you are just waiting on the paperwork? And Yachter is right, everything is "hurry up and wait".

I'll have to check out that blog more when I have time, hadn't seen that one before. TFS.

Be sure and see Kathleen's table too. Its pure, pink delight!! And her story with the Snow-Mam is such fun.
This has to be one of my favorite tables she's done, and boy that is hard since sooooooooooo many are on my list!
    LOL.

Kathleen, you know how I feel about your "fattening fotos", and you making hungry as usual. LOL. Be glad I'm not your neighbor, I'd be over every night begging like a dog!

That's a really cute tablescape Karen, So many creative people!!
I hope it's not too much longer before all the paperwork for your Dad is completed. Thinking of you everyday.

Kathleen what a fun idea to do a snow mam table!! She is quite the lady all dolled up in her pink attire. Another wonderful table.
We missed the worst of that storm, just got 6inches. That was more than enough for me!!

    Thanks for linking that, Karen!

I have Norton anti virus, and as you know I still have been troubled by them. A lot!
That's why my next computer will be an Apple, as I have been told by many there aren't virus issues to deal with like a PC!

Punk, I think it's because your dh keeps your computer safe, as there are things Norton misses, or at least did on mine!

I always had McAfee and this is my first ever computer virus. So I've been really happy with it. But since this virus managed to block McAfee I asked the computer whiz what he personally used and he said Microsoft Security System was his choice. So he installed it for me (free version by the way).

Kathleen, stay warm. Your power off in that storm sounded so not fun. If my house got down to 59, I'd be under the covers and staying there. LOL.

Kathleen, I love your pink snow table. Your Snow Mam melted my heart with all the cute details you put on her. Love the soup all decorated and other details on this post.

For some reason I can't post on your Blog. but I want you to know your creative work on this table is delightful.

You are probably right about DSon keeping on top of the virus issues.

Karen, Bummer on the virus. Since I just went through that, I truly feel your pain. Glad you are back and posting.
Love that tablescape. Did you go to her site showing her kitchen with all of the PURPLE accents? It was very pretty and I am sure you would enjoy it if you haven't seen it already.

    Thanks for the link.
