Did you get that for $7.99?!?

OMG - what a way to start off the New Year!!!!! I see a cloche idea in the works - that is some find - Congrats .....

Lynne

Candy..Great find..Great price!
It's adorable - I think I'd love to live there.
I'll be looking forward to seeing how you use it.

I guess you were in the right place at the right time.
Glad you satisified your Withdrawls...

jane

Nancyjeanne, Yup, it was $7.99!! Sometimes I will pay full price at the thrift store and this was one of those times.

Lynne, Thanks, I hadn't thought of a cloche, hmmmm......

Jane, first I was drawn to it because it was so cute, then when I turned it over, SOLD. I have some English and Irish roots, (besides the gray ones, LOL) and I love little cottages, especially the type that are featured in Kincaide paintings.

$7.99! Unbelievable.
I see it as the focal point of an Easter or spring tablescape.
And hey, ... we share the same heritage. Irish, English and Gray! That's on my Mother's side. On my Father's side, I'm Polish and Gray. So I guess I am predominantly Gray!

Candy, your new cottage is adorable!! I can see it in a Spring or Easter tablescape as well. It would work wonderfully for ST. Patrick's Day also. I can hear the gears grinding from here!! So many possibilities.
NanaKaren

WOW! I just looked it up ... for dimensions, it said 4 inches...is it that small? If so, would be a wonderful cloche pc to use! Lucky you, candy! Couldn't happen to a "sweeter" person! Jeanne S.

Boy. That little cottage has great detail for its size. It's definitely destine for a cloche design. Are you sure you really want it??? Maybe you should send it to me.

Thanks everybody.
NJ, I need to "remind" my gray roots what color they are supposed to be, so I think I better get to the store and get some Miss Clairol. LOL

Nana, It will fit into lots of tablescapes.

Jeanne, it is 6" long, 4 1/2 " wide and 4" tall.

OA, I will be sure and send it your way when I get tired of it, which will be, oh, like, never. Grins

CC, what a score! I bet you feel as excited as I did when I found out that the Pfaltzgraff Christmas dishes (RedRibbons) that I bought for $14 was listed on ebay for $650. I love tiny little houses and scenes. I will be watching for a special clotch or ts using it. (looking at the pretty spring scene just gave me a case of spring feaver. I just read our weather report and we are supposed to have up to 8 in of new snow tonight and snow in the forcast for the next 10 days)Janet

WOW! What a great find! Isn't the original price amazing? Woohoo for you!

Just precious, and how could you pass it up for that price.
Frou

It is adorable!

Candy, what a great score you made! It is just adorable with all those sweet details. Isn't it exciting when you find a great piece at such bargain prices? ;o)

Luvs

You definitely are a Bargain Queen. What an unbelievable price. This piece is on eBay and its probably the most pricey of all the Lilliput cottages as it was a "members only" piece. WOW. Certainly an exciting find!

hugs, Karen

Candy, this is more than wonderful. Such a beautiful cottage and a more Beautiful price. Laughed so hard when I read it wasn't half price! At that price who cares for sure. So happy for you and this fantastic find.

This should cure anyones withdrawal symptoms.

Punk

Janet, Well maybe not quite as excited as you, but pretty close.

Marlene, Frou, Kathleen and Luvs, I thought it was darling before I saw the original price, after I saw that, It somehow got even cuter!! LOL

Karen, that is part of my attraction to TS's as it is an adventure and I never know what I might discover. Glad to hear from you, I was getting worried. How is your Dad?

Punk, I am a real cheapskate and when I know I can sometimes wait for Tues. (Senior Day) or Sat. 50% day on 4 of the 5 color price tags, sometimes I will take a chance and wait, but I didn't think it would still be there, so I bought it. In fact, I usually only go on the half price days, but I hadn't been able to make it on Tues., so I went ahead and stopped on my way home from work on Wed.
Sure glad I did.

Candy
