Lovely, lovely, lovely, Kathleen! Your green & white St.Patrick's Day "F" table (LOL) is wonderful! The white eyelet table-skirt really sets off the green and looks very fresh. Love your centerpiece, too. The wide shamrock ribbons that you've draped the table with is a great touch. My very favorite, though, is the black and green shamrock mug you have in your opening photo. Beautiful!!

With Kathleen for your name, you could do no wrong with an Irish theme. Of course it's outstanding. Are those little individual butter dishes? I saw where someone had taken votives with knobs on them and turned them upside down on coasters and made mini cloches that were really cute. I am shamrock green with envy of all your St. Paddy's decs. It's time for lunch and I'm heading to the thrift store to see what I can find.

    Thank you Lynn and Syble.
Yes, I am Irish, and my birthday is in March so all the years I taught my friends would gift me with Irish things..
S, yes they are indiv butter dishes..I got them at WSonoma outlet, but then CTS had them even cheaper..
I hope you find some goodies! As I have said, we have few Thrift shops and they are NOT very thrifty!

Lynn, those mugs are from Joanne's which is like Michael's..a few years ago.
I will be doing Irish themed tables right up to the big day!

WOW! It's all so beautiful! I love the shamrock bell and I definitely need to seek out a Christmas Tree Shop!

You always do St. Pat's so well Kathleen. Love the placemats and napkins. Very clever of you to use the ribbon, it looks great with your centerpiece. Loved the tablescape and your new header also. Will look forward to seeing more. Luvs

Luvs and I have March birthdays too, LOL. We better haul out the Green now you've started it.
I am Irish, have to ask her what the heck she is. LOL.

Thank you, Jeanne..I love fresh flowers, so I hope these last a long time. DH brought them back from Sam's club for me..We don't go that often as it is an hour away, but they have good prices on flowers.

PM, CTS shops are fun as Jane and I keep saying..:)!

    Thanks, Lucky gal..I appreciate it..

Luvs, that is a table I did last year in the header. I have quite a few Irish ones, so I keep changing the header.
I am working on one now using the top hat I got at Cmas for the centerpiece..My bil always marches in the parade and they wear top hat and tails!
And thanks for your kind words. The placemats are the only new thing..from TJMaxx..A birthday present to myself with the shamrock plates I bought..you will see those soon too..:)

I'll fess up that I'd already peeked at your blog yesterday and seen this. *grin*
    Absolutly beautiful and sooo creative.
    I LOVE it!!
I'm doing burgandy black and white this weekend , sort of an ending to using the "wintery colors" before it's time to being out the spring colors, but you've inspired me to ~think green~ , thank you. :)

Kathleen, I love the first picture with your darling bowls, napkins and rings. But, I also loved your other one with the fresh flowers and all. I seen some material at Walmart that matched the ribbon and thought it would be darling drapped over something with lights under it. I didn't want to run back up to get it so did something different.

Your tables are so wonderful and I love seeing your food while browsing your blog. Where do you store all of your tablescape things, lady? Seems like you must have a room full!LOL

    Kathleen,

I'm not a big fan of green. I think that's because I don't look good in green and never buy any green clothing. I say this because, despite my aversion to green, I love the St. Patrick's table in your header. I like the black tablecloth and the black that's repeated in the napkins. Now that's a St. Pat's table I can live with!

I believe that I've found some fabric that looks a lot like your napkins. I'm definitely going to get enough for several napkins and use my black tablecloth with it. Haven't made any decisions concerning dishes yet, but I THANK YOU for creating that header St. Patrick's table and sharing your creation.

    Kathleen, you little leprechaun

, you have more Irish tableware than I have ever seen in a store!

I am half Irish myself & you'd think I'd have more than I do, but I rarely see any in stores.

Your tables are always so pretty & you warm this Irish gals heart with your St. Paddy's Day tables

I got out for a bit today, stopped at Dollar Tree & one thrift shop & not much for St. Pat's or Easter. Really disappointed!!!

    Thanks, ladies!
Punk, I store them anywhere I can find room! And then hope I can remember where I put them!

OA, I am sorry you don't like green..:( I feel that way about orange..except for Halloween..
I don't have a lot of green in my wardrobe, but when it comes to The Wearin' of the Green, this 100% American Irish lass is there!
That being said, I think you will like the table I am doing.. just a smidge of green..:)

When I say, "I'm not a big fan of green," I don't mean that I don't bring it out in full force during March. And I always use it in conjunction with other colors for Christmas and spring and summer.

We have a large St. Patrick's Day party almost every year and I drape every inch of our family room, living room and guest bathroom in green. I even dyed my children's mashed potatoes and milk green way-back-when.

Still, I'm glad to gather ideas that allow me to tone it down a bit while still celebrating "your season." Can't wait to see your smidge of green table.

Like I said, I can't stand ORANGE, but come Fall I use a lot of it..
And it looked particularly bad in my dusty rose dining room..really! But now it is a nice safe GREEN...LOL..I just realized as I was typing ..more green..but it is a soft sagey green..:)

OA, that is funny, you dyed the kids food green! One year, when I was young, like 18, I decided to do just my bangs in green( I'm a blond) and I used food coloring!!

I tell you DO NOT DO THAT, it took weeks to finally wash out & I got many weird looks back then!!! Today, probably not so much!
