Spring/Easter Tablescape

Hello

I've been a member of Gardenweb for awhile. I haven't posted many times and not at all here on the Holiday forum.

Today as an introduction, I'm sharing my Spring tablescape and other shots around our dining room.

This room is used for special little dinners.

I needed a pick me up earlier in the week and "playing" in the dining room, was just the ticket.

Hi Pat! We're so glad you decided to join us!

I really love your table...is your stemware pink & green??? How unique is that! I need to find some of these.

Now that we've suckered you into our little obsession, come on in and sit down. You'll be here quite a while. LOL

Welcome here Pat. That is a lovely table setting, I especially like that dish with the design in it. Thanks for posting and hope to see more from you real soon. Kareen

Pat725, Welcome to the group and thank you for posting your pictures. Your dining table is so pretty and just perfect for Easter. I love your stemware. In fact, I love it all. The bunnies under glass are a really cute idea also. You have a lovely dining room and you have done a wonderful job decorating for Easter.

Welcome Pat, what a wonderful way to introduce yourself. Love all your bunny items. You've done some very creative things with them. The two floral dishes really caught my eye--they are beautiful. Is there a story behind them? Maybe an heirloom or something? That gold color on your walls makes a gorgeous backdrop for all your nice things--beautiful room and furnishings. Thanks for sharing with us, and I hope you will keep coming by to chat with us and share more of your decorating and tablescape ideas. ;o) Luvs

Welcome Pat, I am just wondering if you are JUDITHS sister?
You sure do a professional decorating job on your table & diningroom, I think you are way beyond us already.

Can you give us lessons too???

    Thank you all so much!!

No, not Judith's sister. I have "met" her on another board, though. I enjoy her tablesettings/tablescapes so much.

Decorating is my "hobby". I also have an interest in photography. Still learning. Having fun with it!

The bowl and plate are part of a collection of vintage dishes we've found at auctions and flea markets, over the years.

The pink and green glasses were found at a Mikasa outlet. I was looking around the clearance shelves when I saw them. Decided right then and there, they were coming home with me! Didn't even try to resist!

    Very pretty, Pat!

Welcome -- I'm new here myself. This is a terrific bunch of folks. (Just don't tell them I said that!)

Hi2all, I "heard" that! LOL We think you are pretty terrific too. ;o)

Pat, sure hope you will keep sharing with us. We love eye candy!

Welcome Pat. Do I detect another "bunny lover"? Your photos were wonderful to see, such a beautiful room. I really like that bunny (by the bird nest)on the beautiful long table. And the egg wreath center piece on your table.
So glad you joined us and shared your decor. Hope to see a LOT more from you.

Pat, Welcome, how wonderful to see you here!
I haven't posted any pictures lately at that "Group", I have such a hard time with MSN and photos, that I sort of gave up.
I love your table settings! I have the same pink and green glasses, I live near a Mikasa outlet and take full advantage every chance I get. LOL

Ladies, you are in for a real treat, Pat is fablously talented with her table setting and her home decorating! Maybe she will post some pictures of her home during Christmas, it was just wonderful!!!!!! Purdy Please!!!

Pat, Since Judith has "outed" you we would love to see more pics. And I echo Judith "Purdy please" ;~)

Purdy please" ;~) with sugar on top????????????

Welcome, Pat. Your decorating is lovely. We are a much smaller group than the other board, easier to keep track .
Thank you for sharing your pics. Hope you are planning something for St Pat's Day so we can all see!
Judith, does your Mikassa outlet notify you of sales, other than those post cards for percentage off? Mine just moved into a smaller store and got rid of their clearance room. Very disappointing!

What's wrong with me??? I don't have any bunnies! After listening to yall, I went out looking for a pretty bunny for my table. Big Lots had a few that were nice but I think I will head over today to Hobby Lobby and Joann's to see what they have. I don't decorate for Valentines or St. Pat's, but I think it will be fun for the Grandchildren to do a bit this year. You are all great inspirations to me.

I am not into Country styles but I do like to watch the Country Living show on HGTV. Yesterday they had a show about compotes and it was very interesting to see them displayed similar to the stacking plates.

kathleen, I get the post cards for discounts too, but I tend to visit the Outlet at least 1 time a month, and sometimes more if it's around the holidays. Ours has a tiny clearance room still.

Thanks, Judith, I thought maybe you knew when they were having clearance sales in advance. The lady at Pottery Barn outlet told me to call on Thurs as that's when they know what the sale will be, like 30 off on all glassware, etc. Which reminds me, today is Thurs!

Oh boy...we are blessed to have Pat AND Judith and all the rest of you folks!!!!!!! Welcome, welcome!!!

One of the ladies at Marshal's told me that she can "check" an item to let me know if it is going on markdown. Guess it comes up on their computer then they have to change the pricetags--so some may not have gotten changed yet.

I'm including my "purdy please" too, Pat. Want to see all the pics you are willing to share. ;o) Luvs

Pat, after viewing your Christmas decorations and reading you had posted your Easter/Spring decorations earlier I had to go looking for that post. I had to get a bib first before I peeked, I swear my mouth is wide open and I'm drooling at all your goodies - I'm in awe, just beautiful is all I can say. May I "purdy please" ask if you have Fall/Halloween decorations or Fourth of July decorations you'd please share!!!

Tam, Your table is so pretty. I love the garland. It goes perfectly with your other table decorations. And I see Mr Bunny is well enough for center stage. You did a fantastic job of his surgery. Everything looks great. I could go on and on telling you what all I love. ;~)

Well that table just sings SPRING. The pink and green dishes, and glasses, the little bunny with candle, the napkins, the soup bowls...everything looks lovely. And the chargers..are those the trays you spoke of? They look great! And your bunny looks like he is totally recovered.
    Well done, Tam!
    (I haven't seen those pics from C T SHops you promised...waiting, patiently!!)

I vote for seeing the pictures in the posts, like it that way.

Your table looks fabulous, the garland is perfect. I sold two of those same garland at my garage sale last summer! RATS, that was before this forum!!!! One was yellow & I'm doing my easter in green & yellow!!! Who knew I'd need them?????

Oh, Tam, your table just looks beautiful. So many pretty dishes and glassware, and you know we all love Mr. Bunny. That really is the prettiest bunny I have seen this year. You have him in a wonderful setting too. What a great job you have done with all your decorating. Now tell me, did you have any of those items before you met Judith here on the forum? LOL Enjoy your beautiful displays, I know they will bring a smile to your face each time you look at one. Luvs

Well you know this bunny table just hit the spot with me.
LOL And the big bunny definitely deserved center stage now he's recovered. Your setting is all very lovely.
I've just got to figure a way to have some neat tablescapes in the LR without the Brat Cat (TY) and his 3 followers plotting against me.

Ya'll are making me eager to decorate for Easter, but I'm going to wait till the first of April to bring it all out so I'm not tired of looking at it. Here are last year's pics of my decorations for your viewing enjoyment - the little Egg cart I found at an antique store in VT, it was so perfect for the tablescape. The little tin sheep's ear is missing, it's in my craftroom somewhere, just need to find it. The fabric bunnies on the table and the shutter shelf I got at Home Goods. I handpainted the wooden eggs which I got at Joann's using my discount coupons. My sister handmade the bunny in the wreath.

I haven't been here in a day or two and look what I find.

Your table is so pretty, Tam. Isn't it wonderful, all the different ideas, for these sweet dishes?

I love your Easter accessories, Sal. Spring is such a great time for "decorating".

I really need to have a look around in storage, see what I can find to do up the farmhouse table!

Very nice, Sal! I think your CARROT Easter tree is the most unique. It all looks very festive. Hope you find the missing ear!!Thanks for posting your pics. It is so much fun looking at everyone's decs!

Sal, I love your Easter decorations. Everything looks wonderful. The bunny your sister made is so pretty. And I agree with Kathleen, the carrot tree is so unusual. What can you tell us about how the tree is made or where to get one please? I know you're going to have so much fun getting everything out for this year.

Sal, what a nice surprise to sign on here this morning and find all your wonderful "eye candy" waiting for me! You always decorate your shutter shelf so nicely for holidays. Love the lighted eggs you have on there too! Love that little wagon with the eggs in it! So cute. Do I see some of your one stroke painting on the hanging window? Looks beautiful as part of your display. Did you make/paint that cute house in the background behind those pretty flowers? It is just darling too! And those purple crocus--aren't they the sweetest little flowers? What a great way to welcome Spring. ;o) Luvs

Thank you everyone for the compiments...I do love how this table turned out...but I have a couple of other ideas that I could make work for spring too that may be not as Easter related...I'll post pictures when I figure it out..:)

Kathleen...yes the 'chargers' are the silver platters I got at the grocery store for 3.99 each. I think they will serve me well in all kinds of tablesettings...and I haven't forgotten about the CT shop pics...I am hoping to get to those tomorrow...I am glad you are patient with me...:)

luvs...on this particular table most stuff is new...I had the candle holders, napkins, garland and flatware but all those dishes are all purchases from the last 4 months...lol
now the other easter decorations I posted pictures of on the other Easter thread that is about 30% new and the rest I had and some items I re-purposed..:)
The green bunny/cabbage dish obsession is horrible...I just can't stop myself...I found yesterday the green bunny teapot, creamer, sugar bowl and two cups with saucers...but when I don't use it I can split it all up throughout the house and displayed it in diffferent areas...green is a neutral color afterall...lol

purple...I am glad you enjoyed the pictures...hmmm...maybe ya should use the stuff they use in museums to prevent things from being knocked over...or do you think that would make your cats more determined to 'take things a part'?...lol

craftlady...I love all of your decorations...very pretty and unique...I especially love the egg cart...what a great find...and I can't wait for my crocuses to come up...it's supposed to be 45 on monday...yippee...lol

    pat...thank you...as i mentioned above I just love those dishes...and there is sooooo many more pieces I don't have...lol

Thank you for the wonderful comments ladies, so nice. The carrot tree is something I picked up at Michael's, geeze, almost 10 years ago now. I've seen them in black as Halloween trees. Not sure what it's made of but the branches are bendable. The light-up wooden house on my bay window I found at an antique store in NY. And yes, that is my one-stroke painted window on the wall over the TV. I wish those crocuses were up now but sadly, still buried under about two feet of the white stuff, hopefully soon.

LOVE your tablesetting! Where did you get the bunny votive holders??? I'm new to the site and just posted on another "tablesetting" thread. I'm so excited to see other tablesetting enthusiasts!

Dishnut, Welcome to the forum. We love new members. We also love to see new pictures so please post some for us.

    dishnut...welcome...:)
I hope you'll post pictures of your tables and decorations because all of us just LOVE to see everyones pictures...lol
the bunny 'votive' holders on my table are actually egg cups I bought for $1.99 each at the cracker barrel.

Welcome Dishnut, what a perfect name for this group! ;o) Hope you keep coming back to chat with us and share some of your dishes, accessories, and ideas too. Luvs

Pat, I love your tablescape as well as the rest of the pics. The "chocolate bunnies". Where did you find them? I want to collect those, and am looking for more. I only have 4 at the moment. One was made by my mom years ago when I was a kid and she went to ceramics. That one looks like a chocolate bunny you would get from a candymaker. The other three are similar to yours, but are a bit smaller. Two are sitting up and the other looks like it is jumping. The accent colors on the trio are blue, lt. pink and a fuschia. I am trying to find more so I can do a display on the desk in my foyer. If I had enough of them, I would use them on my Easter table!

Your table is so inviting. Now do you leave it set up, or put everything away and re-set it for Easter day?

Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures.

Labmomma, TJ Maxx has some earlier, but ours sold out quite awhile back. Dollar Tree has 4 or 5 different styles of the chocolate bunnies, but they are not as nice as the ones TJ had.

I found a medium sized chocolate bunny at Big Lots. My Dollar Tree had some cute small ones in a couple different styles too. I think I saw one at Marshal's earlier too. Just have to get out there and look--and you may end up coming home with lots more than a chocolate bunny! LOL

Hi, Pat....loved looking at your lovely spring tablescapes! I thought I'd check out this forum after hearing about it, and mentioning it myself in a post on the decorating board....and look who all I found over here! ;>

This looks like a great place to hang out and share tablescaping inspiration....hope you don't mind my posting my spring/Easter decos here, as I get them done. Here's my d/r table and buffet....I'm working on the rest as we speak....
