Using PC with mold

I have a mold of a snowman that I want to use for PC. I think it is a mold for candy. It is a two sided mold. I was thinking about using foil for the core so I could save on clay and I thought it would make it more light weight. I am making these to hang on the Christmas tree.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
