Help with ID, please

I have been unable to find the ID of this pattern.

I'm sure this group of enabling dishaholics will be able to enlighten me.

Thanks,

Wanda

Wanda, I checked eBay for information and found a pattern very similar to yours. The description said its from 1920 or earlier and not named. So perhaps yours is from same time frame.

    hugs, Karen

I like to search for things, so I gave it a try. WOW, Johnson Bros was prolific. lol! and I'm liking too much of what I see, so had to stop. :O)

Did you see this replacements site? (link below)

It will take awhile for you to check through the list, and not all patterns have an image, but you might find it there.

    Thanks, guys!!

    I enjoy the 'search' also.
I have tried the eBay, Replacements Ltd, google Images, etc. without any success.

I'm going flea marketing today and taking a piece with me to see if anyone there knows.
I'll let you know if I have any success.

    Again, thanks.

I've not had any luck with the ID.

    Not complaining...just enjoying the search.

    I got:

    1 extra large platter
    1 large platter
    4 dinner plates
    1 breakfast plate
    4 saucers
    4 bread plates
    1 cup
    2 soup/salad bowls

(In mint or near perfect condition)

at an estate sale for $3.00.

Now, I have another pattern to hunt for.

    Love it!! Love it!!

I posted a response to this the other day. I must have forgotten to hit "Submit Message", darn it!
Wanda, I don't know the name of that pattern. I inherited my great-grandmother's set of antique Johnson Bros china and it, thankfully had the pattern name on most, but not all, of the pieces (Malaga). Since then, I've done a lot of research on Johnson Bros and have found that many patterns had no name on them. It's frustrating, I know. My suggestion is to take the photo, rather than a piece of the china around when you shop. You don't want to accidentally break the piece and it may take months, if not years, to find it's name. I do that with my sets, although I keep mine on my phone. Good luck, but don't get your hopes up. There must be a gazillion patterns from JB!

I had good luck in sending a photo of the front and back of a piece of china that I needed to know the pattern name of directly to Replacements.com It is a free service, and they were able to get back to me within a couple of weeks. Here is a link with specific directions from their website. Good luck!

    Lynn,
I'm afraid that's going to be the case with this pattern...no name...because I have several different pieces and none of them have the pattern name.

    Cindy,
    Thanks!!
I have looked at Replacements.com but didn't realize they would ID a pattern for you.

I'll certainly give that a shot.

Wanda, wish you success with finding the pattern name if it has one. It looks similar (altho not identical) to one of my tea sets from DH's DGM so I'm sure it's from the 30's or before. Kind of an art deco look altho could also be Victorian with that design I think. Not that that helps but if Replacements can't help, you might post on an Antiques Forum. My set is packed away so I don't know what it's labelled.
