Uh Oh, Blue Easter!!!

What can I say, I had mentioned that I loved all the blue delft I've been seeing this year, mostly on decor blogs, bunnies & a rooster and Karen must have read it.

She approached me & asked if I would like to have her blue delft bunny which is identical to the one on a blog that I fell in love with.

I was humbled, not shocked, cause I see Karen doing so many nice things for so many people, and I couldn't believe she was wanting to send him to me.

She then mentioned she had two others & a small one that is a creamer. I told her that I would love to have them, but she didn't have to do that & that she probably could use them herself, but she said she had more than enough bunnies & wanted to send them to me.

They arrived today, and it was a hectic day for me, but I dropped everything & had to figure out how I was going to display them.

I wanted to display the delft bunny under my glass cake pan, but his ears would not cooperate & were just to high.

I had to go to plan B, which is another glass container I've never had a use for before.

I then had to figure out how to display the two larger ones she also sent me, wow, they are gorgeous!!! I had actually gone to town looking for something like these & none to be found.

I had purchased this blue cake plate several years ago at a garage sale & don't think I've ever used it before. The blue & white placemats & the plates were from a garage sale also, the plates (8 of them) are made in Italy & were $1.00 for all 8. I used clear glass plates under them, but may change to white ones, that I just remembered I have! (the memory is gone!!! LOL)

The blue handled silverware was new from a garage sale and $2.00, something else I've never used before.

I tried my very large cloche over it, but it sat right on the edge of the scalloped cake plate edge & wobbled, so I just went without it.

Here is how it all turned out, what a beautiful surprise & it all goes well with my pink Easter decor I have around the kitchen & diningroom.

Check out these bunnies, they are beautiful!!! Hope I did them justice, with just using what I had on hand this year!

They will serve all spring, I will not be putting them away after Easter!!!

Again, Thank you so much Karen, I LOVE THEM ALL!

How perfect!!!! What a great idea. Love the Delft, the plaid, the plates, etc. And our Karen is a sweetheart indeed.

Yachter, I know Karen will smile a big smile when she sees this and knows you are enjoying what she has shared with you! She truly is a very sweet person and seems to really enjoy making other's happy.

How wonderful that you had such neat blue/white placemats, the blue handled silverware, and that gorgeous blue cake plate--really sets the bunnies off nicely. That's a really neat jar too and a perfect "home" for the other bunny.

    Lovely!! all the way around.
I loove the bunny in the jar especially and his little friend sitting beside it staring in as to say "hey what are you doing in there?".
How perfect that you had the blue linens to match so well and the touches of yellow are just right.
    You did good!

Luvs is so right, I'm sitting here with a HUGE smile after seeing your photos! You MORE than did those bunnies justice!
I knew I had found a good home for them! The pretty Delft guy looks wonderful in that jar display, he certainly deserved to be showcased. And your blue cake plate is gorgeous! Those bunnies never had it so good. LOL.

Now in case anyone is wondering, yes I do love bunnies (and I also love Delft things), but my bunny collection is pretty big and I can't seem to stop myself from bringing home more. So I decided its time I 'played nice and shared some of my toys with others'. LOL.

Its actually YOU GUYS fault too. I was always content to have my collections in china cabinets. Then I come here and see so many beautiful displays and vignettes, and folks actually USING their treasures. I want to do that. But I need a bigger house or less stuff. LOL. The bigger house is definitely not an option.
Right now with me trying to decorate for Easter, this place looks like an explosion at a bunny farm. Well... maybe not THAT messy.

Yachter and Karen, so happy for both of you and your bunnies. I love the Delft bunnies and the way they are displayed. Blue Easter table looks great with yellow accents. I think your true appreciation came through in this post Yachter. I could tell that pleasing Karen was #1 for you and it sounds like you accomplished that.

Karen, your a doll and keep collecting, you never know who else may need something.hehe We all know you have great taste.

Oh my, those cottontails don't need to keep hoppin' down the bunny trail...they've found a cozy, perfect home! So CUTE, yachter! I love both arrangements...the covered glass jar is wonderful (like how you added the dotted blue ribbon, too) & the blue cake plate is a gorgeous centerpc for your t'scape & bunnies! The yellow & blues just POP! So, so Spring-y! TFS your pics, yachter...and bless that purplemoon...she gives so much of herself! Jeanne S.

When I woke up today & waked into the diningroom & saw my BUNNIES, it was such a warm feeling, I just love them and they are so special on the table, to wake up to!

I can't thank Karen enough, like I said, they will be out thru all of spring, the decor is not specific to Easter, but more spring.

I know I'll be using them in other vignettes thru the year, you will all get to know them well, or get very tired of seeing them.

I think they need names, sort of like Kathleen's SPUD!!!

Yep, they need names. Tho I wonder how Spud got his? He's no (couch)potato! LOL.
The sweet twins could be Raffles and Ticket. That little cream pitcher has such an obnoxious expression, he needs a bratty name for sure. I always felt he disapproved of me.
Ok, enough of my being silly here!
LOL. The handsome guy...he definitely needs a name!

    hugs, Karen

Do you want help naming them? If so I'd like to suggest a name for The handsome guy..."Mr. Phoenix." The other cute, little bratty one could be "The Joker". If you don't want help naming them then please disregard!!!

Raffles and Ticket are cute names, Karen. This could be fun.

Owww, those delft bunnies are super cute. Its even more special that you got them from a bunny collector. :)

Love your table, Yatcher with the plaid and the delft. The combo is very very nice.

Very pretty - of course I love blue and white things and especially combined with yellow. The plaid plates are great for so many settings.

So kind of Karen to gift those treasures to you. TFS - very inspiring.

Well, I'm drooling over a Dedham Pottery rabbit!!
I've never seen him before. I have long liked all their rabbit pieces, with the crackled finish and delft type. (But they are rather pricey, so I haven't collected any.) This one on eBay was NO exception. He must be rare, not only have I not seen him before, but there were 12 bidders and he went for $93. WOW. But he's almost a foot high, and very unique I think!

Punk & Karen, the littlest one is a devil, he keeps taunting the one in the glass jar! He definitely is trouble!!! May have to send him to live with Spud, since Spud causes Kathleen lots of problems too! LOL

Raffles & Ticket are good, I'll let you all know what I decide!

Isn't Karen a doll. You did the blue bunnies justice for sure. I adore the one in the jar and your table is superb. The plaid plates are my favorite and the touch of yellow really brightens up the whole table.

You would have been ROFLYAO hearing me as I just scrolled through all your pics, Yachter! It was, "Ohhhh . . .oh oh! . . . . Oh, I love that! . . . ohhhhhhh . . . oh, I love that, too! . . .oh, oh!!"
Needless to say, I think your blue & white Easter decs are wonderful . . . and so is that sweet, big-hearted Karen!

Karen, that Dedham pottery rabbit is stunning! I'm so sorry that you couldn't get him, but I agree that as nice as he is, $93 for him is pretty pricey :~O
