Transferware

For all of you who love Transferware to decorate with, use, or just admire, this gal's bathroom is stunning I think. I am sure wild about it. Lots of photos!

And when you reach the end, just before the comments posting starts, there are 5 picture links of her's. Be sure you click on the one that says Welcome and

see just what her Transferware actually includes! WOW.

Oh, also I just have to share this. It was on eBay and I couldn't resist, just was calling to me Big Time. Its ceramic, hand-painted, 14 inches long! And it arrived today. I love this piece. I've hung it on the wall near my kitchen counter.

hugs, Karen

Yep! That woman has a bit of a collection. No doubt about it.

Your new bunny platter is wonderful. Don't you just love the twig/branch edging?! What do the words say?

Thanks for the link, Karen. It was fun to see how this gal used some of her Transferware out of the dining room.
I especially like the initial pic of the TW hands. That's a piece I've NEVER seen before! I have two of the red & white TW tureens like hers and now I have another idea of how to use them :^)
But . . . my very favorite piece is your new platter!!!! The twig-like edging on it is wonderful and very unusual! I'm so happy for you . . . please put me FIRST on your list to send it to when you tire of it (which I'm hoping you will verrrrry soon) ;^D
    Love, love, love it!!!!!!!!!

I love your bunny platter! Very unique edging.

Thanks (I think!) for the blog link. ;-D When I have some time I know what I'll be doing. That blog is very timely for me as I have been thinking of putting some of my plates on the wall again. I removed them a few years ago when DH repaired and repainted. I have never put plates in the bathrooms, maybe it's time - looks lovely in her bath.

Love your tray Karen!! And that bathroom makeover is something to see...I think that's the longest bathroom counter I've ever seen! But, I love the colors and the transferware!

Yay! So glad you were able to get the bunny tray, Karen, it sure is pretty and I know you will enjoy it lots.

I browsed several pages of that blog--she really has a large collection of the transferware and does some pretty decorating. I'm sure I'll go visit again and look some more, thanks for sharing the site.

I am so glad all of you enjoyed that gal's decor as much as I did. I'd NEVER have thought of using Transferware pieces like that in the bathroom on the counter. Since I'm nuts about plates, I'd put them anywhere tho. LOL. Her floral arrangement over the mirror is my very favorite. I'd love to do something similar to mine. I have a long counter, tho its L-shaped. My mirror has no space above it for plates or anything, but I could do a floral garland along the top easily. (in fact I do for Christmas).
I still can't believe she has a BIG warehouse FULL of just transferware. Bet the Greenie Monster attacked a bunch of you on that part. I can just see all your DHs being told to look what she got for her dishes! LOL.

OA, the wording on my new platter is interesting. Some is printed, some is script, some looks like actual handwriting. And it says all different kind of stuff, even to being latin names for some of the butterflies and plants.
The two bluish marks on the top left are realistic postal "stamps". Its all so unique and neat I think.

Slinkey, I'm so glad I didn't have to fight you for it.
    Whew.

    Pretty new bunny platter!

But forget about her transferware -- I couldn't get off the pics of her huge bathroom! I'd like that more! lol.

WOW!! I flipped thru all 21 pages of her etsy transferware site and was just amazed at some of the gorgeous pieces. I *almost* came close to ordering something - and you know I never buy online! Very tempting tho. I do have several pieces she has for sale but I bot mine at YS or thrifts for less than $1. whereas her prices for the same things were $14.99. Think I'll keep trying YS/thrifts! ;-D

Her blog is very inspirational for decor and tablescapes too.

I was prowling eBay again and stumbled across this lovely set of RED Transferware, and immediately thought of you gals that love this color in particular.
    This sure is pretty...
and several are available, so you wouldn't have to fight over one. LOL.
