Found some goodies

I found these for 65¢ each. Actually they're Christmas cupcake ornaments but I thought they'd look good on the stacking pedestal plates as part of a centerpiece.

They're about 2" across and 1½" high.

Aren't they cute?

Oh my gosh, I must have them for my Christmas Candy Land tree, they are so cute, where did you get them? They would look cute in a kitchen vignette on stacking plates too.

Monablair, Those cupcake ornaments are great and will look so cute on the stacking plates. I'm with Judith, would love to know where you found them please.

Wow! Mona, I know this post got Judith excited! Especially since she is taking that cake decorating class. Those look like they could be used anytime--very pretty. I can't tell for sure, are they made on styrofoam? Yes, do share where you found them please.

Hmm, might be something to experiment with--styrofoam balls and texture paints to do the designs. Sandi, what do you think? Would that work? Think I'll go over to the craft forum and have Oddie and Evelyncraftdiva take a look and see if they have ideas on how to make some like these? Thanks for the idea Mona.

They are a type of ceramic and have the cupcake wrapper glued to the sides and base.
I found them at Silk Gardens here and they were 70% off. I HAD to have them at that bargain price!

Monablair, You got some very pretty goodies at a fantastic price. Congrats on your great buy. And of course, no Silk Gardens here. ;~)

Sobbing here..., no Silk Gardens here either. Well, now Mona, you are going to have to post pictures for sure so we can all enjoy these once you decide what you want to do with them. LOL

Luvs, you may want to take a look at my posting on the Crafts side I did 2 days or so ago on the Mosiac cupcakes. I would think this could be done with the small stryofoam ball or squares, plaster of paris, a cake piping bag and tip and food coloring/paint, it just might work....

Mona, now look at what you have started. LOLOLOL

Those are adorable, don't look Cmassy at all so could be used year round! Good find!

I missed these until someone asked about them over on the crafts forum.

I love them and I thin half a styro ball then covered with gesso might set them up for decorating ..I have to copy that photo!!!

Marilyn, I love the little cupcakes. I agree with you, they will look great on stacked plates. You got them at a fantastic price, too. Don't you just love when that happens?

Oh, I hope there will be no teenage boys around. They would have two or three eaten before they realized they were ceramic!

They are really pretty. I can't wait to see what you do with them.

Very cute ornaments....they'd look great on a footed dessert plate with a cloche.
