May I join the fun?

I am a long time lurker and first time poster. I finally feel I have to join in as you people are all so friendly and fun. Like most of you, I am in awe of Judith's tables and drool over Kathleen's yummies but I also delight in what everyone posts on this forum. I am thrilled to discover there are others who enjoy table setting as much as I do. I have never posted on a forum before and have had to get some training from my son so hope this goes okay. Below, you should see one of my pictures of an Easter table from last year and hopefully if you click on it, it will take you to some others I have done.

I am sorry I forgot to mention that everyone is welcome to critique my table settings. I certainly didn't want to come across as just "showing them off". I admire everyone's pictures and ideas on this forum and hope others might be able give me a few pointers or suggestions. I so hope I haven't offended anyone.

WELCOME! Dining delight...I am so glad you have come out of lurkdom to join us.
Your table is lovely! I love the green and yellow. And we love it when people show us their tables...If they want help fine, otherwise, we just enjoy seeing them!
    Happy to have you here!
I just looked at your other tables. So pretty! Fall, Valentines, New Years, just beautiful!!

Oh, Dining Delight, you have been holding out on us! Your tables are really beautiful. You did a wonderful job on all of them, and you have some really pretty dishes and accessories too.

No more lurking allowed, okay? You need to come chat with us and tell us about your dishes and accessories. If you've been reading here awhile, you know we love to see closeups and hear where you found your treasures. I really liked your snowmen and the glass tree for example. Tell me more about them please?

Don't be shy, and anyone who can create tablescapes that pretty should "show them off". ;o)

I love your table setting! Green and yellow are so beautiful and fresh colors!

While I was cleaning my kitchen this morning, I opened a cupboard to put my thermos bottle and... I discovered some Easter decorations!!

I forgot that I already had these ones!

Unfortunately, they are not green and yellow but terracota and yellow (colors of my dining room).

Hum, I will have to find colors that fit them for the other decorations (Brico center already sells some unfortunately, the Easter trees are very expensive... I hope to find an artificial price).

Thursday Trafic will start its Easter sales, so, I'll visit this store in order to buy some decos and will put my pics on the forum.

Welcome dining delight I am also glad you joined us. In addition to your beautiful table settings I loved your buffet centerpieces. All of your tables are wonderful.
Please share your creations with us often. All of us love to see the photos of everyones new creations...:)

Kathleen, Luvs, Prosperity and Tam - Thank you so much for your warm words of welcome and kind comments about my tablescapes. I feel at home here already and am so glad I came out of lurkdom!

Kathleen - I really appreciate you being the first one to welcome me. I have always enjoyed your postings and it was special to have you "speak" to me first and give me the confidence to continue.

Luvs, I got the snowmen family from our local Dollar Store. They didn't actually light up but I found some cordless (battery operated)white LED lights which I put inside them. The tree is actually acrylic and does light up with 3 continuous changes in colours of "frostiness". I had to buy TWO of them which I hope to use in another setting next year. I got them at our local grocery store which sometimes carries decor items.

Prosperity - isn't is nice to discover decorations you forgot you had. I am hoping that happens to me when I go to get out my Easter things soon. I'm sure you will do a wonderful job coordinating the terracota and yellow items and we will love seeing your pictures.

Tam - I like doing buffet centerpieces sometimes as then it means I don't have to cook a big meal with all the courses (which I end up doing to use all the various dishes I own) but rather can just lay out the food with a focal point in the center or on one side.

Thanks again and I hope to post again soon. Am working on a St. Pat's day table....

Beautiful tablesettings. The green and yellow is so fresh for spring. I especially like the lighted frosty snowmen. Keep posting pics!! I look forward to your St Pat's day table.

Your table settings are simply stunning - everything is matched down to the smallest detail - I just love it. NOW - that snowman scene is to die for - just beautiful. I am a sucker for anything Christmas and was just drawn to that. I love the dollar store - those acrylic figurenes just sparkle and look like you spent mega dollars on them. Please post more pictures of your decorating - it is beautiful and WELCOME to the forum......

Diningdelight, Welcome! What beautiful tablesettings, I enjoyed every one of them, had to look at least twice. I am glad you have joined us, I am sure we all here wish more "lurkers" would "come out" we all can learn from each others creative ideas, from the simple to the elaborate! I am looking forward to seeing more of your creations.

Welcome & thanks for sharing your lovely tablesettings! You are either a quick learner or you were way ahead of us before you found this site!

Everything is gorgeous & there is nothing to critique, rather we may be asking you for advice!!!

I especially liked the New Years vignette with all the gold and the clock was a neat detail!

Welcome to the forum Dining Delight. I will say what the others did - no more lurking. I love "all" of your table settings, they are just lovely. My favorite is the black and white themed one but I also love the fall setting.

Hope you'll post more and share more pics with us. Remember, this is the Christmas and Holiday Decorating forum and it's not just tablesettings. We'd love to see your other home decorations also.

Welcome Dining Delight! Your Easter table is very pretty with the green and yellow. Just looked at your other tablesettings and they are just beautiful. You do a great job of mixing and matching. Looking forward to seeing more pictures!

    Dining delight,
What a wonderful way to join us with all of those beautiful pictures of your tablescapes. And judging from your comments you had a very talented Mother to learn from. I loved her tablescape also.
Welcome to our family. So much talent here. I'm learning so much from every picture that is posted. Each person shares and helps the others in any way they can.
Now, more pictures please and share a little more about how you found stuff, what you had to eat, and any plans for up coming holiday gatherings. Inquiring minds want to know!!

Welcome! I'm so glad you came out of lurkdom to join in. I love-love-love the shade of your creamy green dishes. And paired with the yellow is a really nice, different idea.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster however, I had to comment on your fantastic tables! I LOVE the green and yellow together! It looks so fresh and pretty. I even made a point to show my MIL your tables. Please keep posting, you are very talented.

Jenn, Tammy, jaybird and Kareen - Thanks for your supportive comments. I am honoured that you made a point of showing my tables to your MIL, Tammy! It is such a weird (great) feeling to be putting my "stuff" out there and have strangers (although I feel I know you all after lurking here)appreciate my efforts and make me feel so at home. Thanks again!

Hi I have been lurking for a few months for tablesetting ideas for a spring or easter themed table for our local daycare fundraiser. Your table is nice! I have gotten alot of good ideas from this forum.

Welcome juicyfruitkid! Thanks for the compliment.

I know how much I enjoyed "lurking" on this forum for a long time but now am enjoying it MUCH more as a participant. Took me a bit to learn how to post and put up pictures, etc but it was worthwhile. I am glad to hear on the other thread that you are joining in the Virtual Tea Party. It should be fun! When is your fundraiser....if it is after the tea party date, you may get even more ideas!
