Easter Table Is Ready

I had to stay home with DH today so decorated my Easter Table. I've wanted to use my plaid tablecloth ever since I bought it and it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I knew what I wanted on my table but sometimes what we want and get are so far apart it's not good. That was the case with trying to create this table!

Anyhoo, you all know me and I kept playing until I had MOST of what I wanted on it. The dishes are DM Tea Rose Set and I've saved them to use for my Easter table. I used her Easter gloves also.

I've had these little bunny cups forever and don't even remember why I bought them in the first place. The one egg was lazer cut by DM's friend and I ended up with it.

Used eggs, my new crystal vase from DF to hold flowers and also her S & P and candlesticks with DM's coasters under them for a unique look.

punk...everything is so PRETTY in PASTEL! First of all, I love how you used your DM's dishes...they are beautiful...& the glasses with the small flowers...placemats with flowers fit so good! Did you paint or decoupage those eggs in the basket? They are so Spring-y! Like the pink egg-shaped ridged plates/bowls(?) at each place setting. Pretty, pretty t'scape! TFS! Jeanne S.

Susan, thanks and glad you like the Pfaltzgraff dishes. I had bought them for DM to entertain with years ago. The basket of eggs were DD and she gave them to me. I like the tablecloth but had a hard time trying to figure out what to put on it.LOL

Kathleen, I'll tell DD eveyone loved her basket of eggs. I sure didn't refuse them when she offered. Knew right off they would be part of my Easter table. I did add the pink, purple and yellow grass to the basket for the eggs.

Jeanne, thanks for all the comments on my table. The glasses are part of the Pfaltzgraff set. I have the juice glasses, platter and a few other pieces as well. DD gave me the little egg bowls.

    Punk,

Love your centerpiece, even the pink candles! So pretty. I like the rabbit in the centeriece too. And everything looks terrific on your plaid tablecloth. I'm not partial to pastels but I would live to dine there!

Well add me to the list of Pretty Painted Egg Basket Lovers! That is beautiful. And your mix of colors for the grass is a perfect touch! Such soft and pretty shades.

Your centerpiece, the china, the lovely gloves.... its all delightful. Methinks Punk was a busy girl today on top of taking care of DH. (sending some extra good thoughts his way for him to get better soon.)

MM, I'm still thinking snow after seeing your post. If you look for Pfaltzgraff dinnerware, they all have stemware, and the different glasses for each set. You always have such sweet comments.

Jane, thanks and I hope you know why I used my DM gloves. When I came across these, I put them with my dishes so I would always have them. I just loved it when you used yours and was so excited when I found DM. The pink ones are DGD so I will keep them together for the girls to have.

Magpie, I found my little pink candles one day while shopping and couldn't resist so glad you noticed them. Thanks, come on over and dine with us anytime.

Karen, thanks for all your sweet comments. I keep wanting to go repaint that basket to match a little better but sometimes contrast is good.

DH thinks he's doing alittle better today. Don't know when he'll return to work but he has alot of sick leave so no big deal there.

Thanks for all your sweet comments and I'll let DD know her basket and eggs were a big hit. I'll also tell her no take backs!

Wow! the eggs in that pretty ceramic basket are gorgeous! They would make a pretty centerpiece all by themselves me thinks! Those dishes have always been one of my favorite designs--a friend I used to work with had that pattern and I loved using hers even way back then when I wasn't even into "dishes" and tablescapes. I really like the candle rings too, very pretty and ties right in with the roses in the vase. Are the bird nests connected to each other or just grouped together? I like bird nests too--sort of a symbol of new life like Spring is don't you think? You will have to guard that tablecloth from Frou, it sure would go nice in her kitchen! ;o) This was a fun table to look at, glad you took the time to create it. Hope your DH responds well to the new meds and will feel better soon. Luvs

    Phonegirl,
Your table turned out very lovely. Love all the pink and pastels. That pink basket with the eggs really is beautiful. Your DM's Easter gloves are a nice personal touch.

Oh my! Those eggs are gorgeous! I also love that tablecloth - reminds me of the Easter dress I had as a child! I loved that dress!

I'll just say ditto to what everyone else said - very pretty!

Thanks Luvs, glad the dishes brought back memories of your friend's dishes. The nests are connected and I had planned on cutting them apart to use under one of my cake plates but haven't gotten that far. This tablecloth would match Sybles kitchen alright.

Mo, good to hear from you. Glad you like the basket filled with eggs and DM's gloves. I'm still hoping to find our Easter bonnets when I go through some more boxes and totes this summer.

LG so glad you like the eggs and tablecloth too. Wonderful that the cloth reminded you of a dress you loved as a child.

This time of year, I always remember a talent show a friend and I sang at. We sang "In Your Easter Bonnet." No we didn't win so I guess that's why I'm here decorating tables and not on TV.LOL

Well Punk, I'm sure glad you didn't win that contest either. I'd much rather have you here than on TV.

And I'm also glad you didn't paint that basket. The contrast is perfect I think. It really pops on the table,
and the soft colored things in it look better too.

The table is so pretty. I especially like the basket with the eggs & the tablecloth. It is similar to the one I bought that I gave to gdaughter for her table.

Those dishes are so delicate & dainty looking, very appropriate for a spring or Easter table.

Lovely table. Being new to this forum, I am curious, do you leave your table set until Easter actually arrives or is this just a dry run and everything gets put away until you serve Easter dinner? If you leave it all as is until Easter, how do you prevent it from getting dusty?

    Thanks for sharing.

I don't know where to start, like everyone else the basket of painted eggs is outstanding, but I'm really loving the furry bunny cups with all the frou on them. The matching dinnerware and glassware is beautiful. And that tablecloth has Easter(or Syble) written all over it. The little porcelain rabbit with the basket of eggs is so sweet also. Great job, I love it all.

What a pretty tablecloth, Punk! It's so Spring-ish and cheerful. Love your placemats, pretty, pretty plates and embroidered napkins too. Did you make the napkins?

Karen, Awe, I thought you would want me to be a star.LOL

Yachter, thanks so much for all your commets and sorry it took me so long to get back here. Had a very busy work week and limited time.

Rubbyslipperz, my house never gets DUSTY!!!LOL Welcome to the forum and so very sorry I'm just getting here to answer your question. If I use this table for Easter, I will run the dishes through the dishwasher and set more place settings.

If I had more time I would change my table setting every week. We have a large bar and that's where we eat every day meals. I like it because it's faster to clean up.

I always have my table set since I starte tablescaping. It's such a fun conversation piece and so far I haven't used all my different settings I want to. I just bought some new plates and want to set a new table but haven't had time lately.

Syble, I think that tablecloth does scream Syble. It's so much like your beautiful kitchen. Thanks for all your sweet comments.

Lynn, glad you like the tablecloth. This was fun to use alot of DM things on another table. Bet she never thought I would be setting up tables and not entertaining with them. Maybe I'll have Easter dinner and use one. I didn't make the napkins.

Thanks again for all your comments. Punk
