Easter decorations

Well, it took me a few days (nights, LOL) but its finally done. When I hauled out the boxes and big bin, I took one look at the stuff...and called my daughter to come 'shopping'. I knew there was no way I could use it all, and the way I'm going on, I may not be able to do this much next year. So I pulled out what I wanted and offered her the rest. She took two bags and a box of stuff. Yay. Now if I just remember to not buy more! sigh.

When I decorated Stoney for St Patricks, someone commented my poor little stone bunny by him was neglected without even a ribbon. LOL. So okay, now Pebbles has a ribbon!

I'm not posting photos of the inside stuff since I took almost 30 pictures! So here's album link.

hugs, Karen

Wow Karen, you really have gone all out for Easter - even TBOTP decorated (love that blue and white greyhound)! LOL I think it was me that thot that little bunny needed a ribbon - glad to see he's now all dolled-up for Easter! I'm sure your DD was pleased to get so many of your treasures.

So many pretties - love the wire cloche, spiral tree (really useful isn't it?), pink mercury glass candleholders (so pretty), vignette on the silver tray with the clear bunnies (of course I love that silver tray), Easter bottle brush tree (never seen an Easter one before - very cute).

I'm really feeling like a slacker now. However, I'll get with the program. I've done a few more vignettes, just haven't tweaked and taken pics yet. Too busy working with DH on the fencing and I'm completely "toast" in the evenings.

I can't believe your daughter took home that much good "stuff" & you still did all this!!! Please don't quit adding to your collections...they are AWESOME & you can continue to pass things on to DD!

TFS, PM...now take a deep breath & a rest from decorating for Spring! And putting all these pics on, thanks! Jeanne S.

Karen, now I know why we have pictures here on this post. I also understand why your hurting so much. You have so many beautiful displays. I love it all.

I couldn't believe how excited I got looking. You are the energizer bunny with all your decorating. The stone bunny basket is great and I love the green stacking plates. Oh, and the lily garland is great on the other stacking plates. All of your bunnies are so amazing. Love the cloche.

So glad your DD came over and helped take some goodies off your hands. I'm sure your DIL would help too if need be.LOL Sure enjoyed the show and hope your not hurting as bad now. Maybe you can keep only your favorites and that will keep you from over doing. Oh yeah, your a shopoholic when you feel good enought to get out, so guess that's not the answer.

LOL, you are right Punk. I so love the antique mall, Goodwill, Michaels, Dollar Tree....my downfall, all of them.
But I figure since I spend about 90% of time being housebound, then when I do get out and want to buy some 'pretties', I deserve the fun. LOL, how's that for justification!
Alissa took home a few of my cutesy bunnies, and some things that I had multiples of we divided. Like ornament sets. I had a pink bunny pitcher, with the new pink roses I just bought at GW recently..and NO place to put it. So I loaned that to her. LOL. I'll use it after I put the Easter stuff away, for Spring decor a few weeks. She doesn't decorate for Spring. I didn't offer my DDIL any as she isn't into decorating much except for Xmas. And I did share some of mine with her then.

I was so upset with myself. I had that really neat big purple egg cookie jar I got a few weeks ago...and before I could even take it out of the cabinet yesterday, I dropped it and shattered it to pieces. :o"

LG, that metal spiral "card" tree is one of my favorite purchases. I've decorated it 3 times already since I got it after Xmas sales. Its a fun little thing to play with.
And that big wire cloche-cage thingy from Goodwill.

By the way, I put detailed descriptions under a lot of photos, but I notice that they get cut off in the slideshow.
Darn. So you will have to look at individual pictures if you use it and want any info on stuff.

I sure cheated on my stacked plates this time. LOL. It took me around 5 minutes to wrap the garland on it, stick in the glass eggs, and add the lamb. Gotta love Garland!

Thanks Guys, you definitely make the work worth it.

Ok, Karen, had to go thru them twice to try to remember what I liked best! The Charming Tails in the bathroom are adorable & the eggs in the cloche.

The blue delft in the bathroom, soooo pretty. The fireplace with all those bunnies, they are all beautiful, don't know how you decide which ones to use!

Your bay window, so pretty, and some of it can be left out all thru spring.

OH, the wire tree by your fireplace, it looks great, you sure are getting alot of mileage out of that for every holiday, what a useful piece~

Ok, now I've forgotten some already! SCREAM!!

OH, your stacking plates turned out wonderful. Now, all you have to do is set the table, we're waiting!!!! LOL
OH and the victorian bunnies with the B initial. I'm probably still forgetting some, but will go thru the pictures again.
With all this, you CAN do a table!!!

I'm late posting here although I admit to having looked at all your pictures YESTERDAY! Had to admire everything a couple of times, then didn't have time to come here to comment! LOL

Luckygal, I'm with you on feeling like a slacker! Karen almost always gets her decor up before I even get mine out of the storage shed! She's such a good "motivator" for me--completely eliminates any excuses I can come up with for procrastinating! If she can do all this while dealing with the fibro pain--then there's just no reason I can't do mine! Thanks Karen for keeping me on my toes!

How can I pick a favorite???? It all looks great as usual, but I have to say that I'm really loving that big letter you made and it's just perfect paired with those bunnies. The arrangement in the bathroom reflected in the mirror is darling, and the large bunny piece in front of the fireplace really caught my eye too. You are coming up with lots of neat ways to decorate that spiral tree too. I'm so sorry about your purple egg! Now we will all have to be on the lookout for a replacement for you. Great job as always Karen, there's a feast for the eyes anywhere one looks in your home. Now please rest up so you'll be ready for your upcoming birthday celebrations! ;o)

I'm glad your feeling good enough to go all out with your Easter decorations, they are wonderful. All those egg trees and eggs are eggs-tra special. The Victorian bunnies with the B is nice and vintage looking. I am sooooooooo jealuous of the pink mecury glass candlesticks, but I'm glad your into the pink of things now. I'm sorry to hear about your breaking your cookie jar. But like me, with so much stuff, something's gonna get broke every once in a while. Thanks for posting all the pics of your hard work and beautiful decs.

Gosh, I'll bet that your DD made out on her "shopping " trip to your house, Karen. But, what you have left is pretty darn swell! LOVE, love, love your Victorian Bunnies and the "B"!!! Love your ceramic bunny holding the purple flowers, too. Heck, I love it all! Your antique sideboard looks wonderful in your entry, with or without Easter decs. The framed dog piece above it and the lamp really make the entire area look stunning!
