Some of you may have seen this tablescape before but thought I'd post a link for the more recent newcomers to this forum.

Thanks for looking!

DD. if I seen this setting before, I loved it just as much if not more this time. What a beautiful setting for mom and you. Everything looks so professional. Love the decorations on the mantel too. Your evening photo is stunning.

DD, everything is just jaw-dropping GORGEOUS. And I mean EVERYthing. The setting, your home, your photography. I am madly in love with how you decorated the mantle. I've got to try something like that in the future. There aren't enough words to tell you what I think of it.
You never fail to amaze me.

Now St Patrick's is over, its off to Easter, how about this wonderful old vintage card I found on Flickr.

    hugs, Karen

Don't think I've ever seen it before, DD, but sure glad I was able to see it now! TFS Everything looked so cozy and pretty. Loved the little teapot cardholders/candleholders, and your stacked goodie plates looked so yummy. Your china is just so pretty too.

DD, the table is so dainty & elegant, and your mantel blew me away!! It sure has the WOW factor, bet you'll see lots of us stealing your ideas next year!!!

    Thanks for sharing, all beautiful!

Absolutly gorgeous DD. I can't pick one thing over any other that I don't love.
The mantel is a WoW factor of its' own.
You have such a great knack for pulling things together
    in just the perfect increments.

What a wonderful, warm setting to share with your Mom! Yes, do it again DD! I love the coziness & comfortable chairs where you were tog. The t'scape linens are so elegant & faux flowers so beautiful...and to use your wedding china that I'm sure your Mom was a part of some years ago! Priceless! And your luncheon on the tier plate is perfect! TFS! Jeanne S.

It looks like it came straight from a magazine, only better because it's yours. I do believe that is the prettiest china I've ever seen, I love it. The mantel, the table, all of it is stunning. I'm glad you re-posted it.

    DD,
I dont think I have seen your easter tea setting before. It was absolutely a treat to see. You did a lovely table for your mom. I really like your teapot place holders - they go so well with your china. I am saving your table pics in my inspiration folder.

Thank you so much ladies! I'm glad I reposted this Easter Tea Party too when you are all so kind with your compliments. Karen and Luvs and Yachter, you might remember when I first posted it as it was when Judith was "hosting" a Tea Party on this forum about 2 years ago. I recall even YOU, Karen did a little tea setting which was wonderful! That event was the reason I set up this fireside tea and then invited my mom over.

Jeanne, you made a comment I hadn't thought of and that's how my mom DID have a part in helping me pick my wedding china and that did add an extra specialness to its use for our tea.

Karen, love the vintage Easter card - Bring on the Bunnies!

    Thanks again ladies!

Thanks for the pics. My daughter's birthday is on the 4th and I'm planning a formal (as formal as one can get with a 2 and a 4 year old) tea party with a loose Max and Ruby (bunnies) theme.

I've been searching the net for tea party pictures and there doesn't seem to be a lot out there.

jenagnelcat...you might like to try your local library...there are some really good books on children's parties...like the tea party you'll be having...here's a couple titles (for examples). May find some DVD's also...like a Barney one called "Best Manners."

"Let's Have a Tea Party" by Emilie Barnes

DD, your setting is splendid! I'm speechless!

I wonder how do you do to manage all your daily tasks? Working outside, preparing succulent meals, and setting such tabescapes?

Exquisite! Everything is so pretty and inspiring. I'm sure it was a very enjoyable tea with your Mom. TFS

Ohhhhhhh, how incredibly beautiful, DD! And what a great idea to set your tea table by a nice crackling fire to make it even more cozy. I love everything about it, and am positively drooling over your beautiful china . . . and the food! The two comfy-looking wingback chairs must have made for the loveliest of afternoons. Your mother had to be very touched to have her sweet daughter make such a lovely afternoon tea for her.
I'm heading back to look at all your pics another time, they're that great!
    TFS!

    It is SO pretty!

Jenangelcat, I am happy to provide some inspiration for you. I hope your DD's birthday is special and no doubt it will be with the theme you are going with.

Prosperity, so nice to "hear" from you again! Although I do work 30 hr/wk, I have a wonderful DH who helps lots around the house and my DD an DS have flown the coop so its just us.

LG, thank you for your kind comments.

Thanks Lynn! It was really relaxing sitting in those wingback chairs. I often think of replacing them but they are so comfy!

Jay, I'm actually glad someone remembers it from 2 years ago! Thanks!

    Kathleen, thanks for looking again!

DD, I think replacing them is a GREAT idea . . . and send them right on over to my house, will you?
Seriously though, I love the chairs and think they look perfect in your beautiful home.
