some St Patrick decorating

Well, it poured rain all day and evening, which I LOVE as we get so little in Phoenix. So I tackled some decorating.

I'm not happy with my stacked plates or the little metal spiral tree, but as I said in my previous kick-butt post, my heart just wasn't in it. Nor my legs, LOL.

But here's the photos for you.

hugs, Karen

Karen, your decorations are just WONDERFUL. You have some very pretty decorations. I love the apothecary jars, candle sticks and nutcracker on the mantle. I like that your hares are on there. It lets us know Easter decorations will soon be out for all of us to enjoy!

Bathroon cloches turned out so cute and I love seeing that room decorated. The stacked plates look good and make me think I best kick it in the butt and go buy some more GREEN so I can do more.LOL

Hope your legs feel better tomorrow and thanks for sharing all your decs. They are beautiful as always.

We had beautiful weather today in the 60's and that's unusual for here. We helped some friends in their yard and then enjoyed dinner with them. We had bought a new thatcher and it worked great. Next will be our own, I hope.

Karen, you did alot more than I did & I give you credit with the leg pain.

The fireplace looks fabulous, and the whippets are even ready for St. Paddys, love your bathroom cloches too!

You have alot more green decor than I do, trying to talk grandson into running to thrift store with me in the morning. HE hates going in them, says he feels buggy!!!

I may be able to find some "pink" for my Easter color changeover. The one thrift store has half off on Monday too!

    You outdid yourself ,Karen.
I loove the mantle , your stacking plates look just perfect to me, I looove the bathroom vignette , and spiral tree is so cute.
Now that you've made such an accomplishment ~ go put your feet up and rest your legs :).

Good for you Karen! Didn't take you long when you made up your mind to do it. If your heart wasn't in this I really would like to see what you would do when your heart IS in it! Would really be over the top!

IMO everything looks very nice - I really like that spiral tree. Right now I'm wishing I'd left out the few green balls I had on my tree at Christmas but I know DH would not be impressed if I asked him to find that box way back in the closet! ;-D Hope I remember to do so next year. The green color is really nice with your color scheme. You've done great!

    Hope you are feeling better.

Great job, Karen, it all looks really nice. Like the others, I love the jars and your cloche. The stacked plates look good, as does that cute little guy in the window area. I'm always amazed that you do such nice arrangements in spite of your pain from the Fibro. Here's a big pat on the back for you--time to sit back and just enjoy it now!

A nice rainy day in Phoenix certainly brought out the best in you, purplemoon! You're too hard on yourself...your St.P. decor is great! I'm like luvs (above)...love the lep. cookie jar in your bay window & also that hurricane lamp you made & filled...so pretty! Lovin' that glass cloche (or whatever you call it!) on the mantle & also that glass & metal candleholder! I'd say you jumped right in & kicked ***! Now if the Fibro will settle down, you can enjoy some free time before Easter! TFS! Jeanne S.

Thanks, Gang. Those two hurricanes (?) with wood tops and wood pedestals were a set from Kirklands a few years ago.
Actually there were 3 but I managed to break one last year. I think I found the glass and wrought candleholders there too. Have a question on these tho....normally the candleholders are together on one end of the mantle, and the two hurricanes on the other end. I separated them this time just to be different. Which way do you think looks best tho? I'm not sure. (heavens, WHEN did I become such an INdecisive person? I think the grey hairs are siphoning off my brain cells).

The only thing I'm not too happy with on my St Pat decor is my stacked plates and the metal spiral tree. I don't know if I like the ribbon threaded around it afterall. My plates are rather plain, ran out of "ummmph" I guess.

    hugs, Karen
