Karen, those are neat, at our local "Everythings $5.00 Store" they had them already done, they were done in some pretty kind of subdued natural colors. I resisted, but now I'm having second thoughts.

Very cute!

I like those and have bookmarked it for next year! Another thing for my growing 'want-to-do' list! TFS

If I was the least bit crafty, I might try those as they don't look too hard and turned out lovely but alas, I am not a "crafter" at all! Very cute idea though!

Hmmm, the spammer found this post too!

I love those topiaries, I had seen some similar at the other blog she referred to. I've saved the idea too, but like most of you, seldom get around to actually doing all the things on my "want to do" list!

How and where would you store these? I was thinking that you'd almost need to tie a bag around the top and then around the base as well to keep it all together. I'm hoping I remember this for next year, especially love it with the glitter eggs, would be nice in my front window where they could sparkle in the light. Thanks for sharing this Karen.

Luvs, re: storing topiaries, what I did with my Christmas pinecone 'tree' was to place it in a box to fit the urn and the height and told DH to be very careful to keep it upright when putting it in the storage closet with the other decorations! The ball topiary I made is still in use because it's not very Christmas-ey. I don't glue the stick to the foam in case I want to reuse the urn for other seasons but they are easier to store in the urn.

I really like topiaries and want to make more - I'll be watching for more inexpensive urns and also nice cache pots at yard sales as they would work well too.

LG, that's a great idea to be able to remove the topiary from the pot! And silly me, I hadn't even thought about finding a box that it could slide into for protection! I really like them too both on tables or on mantles or on my front window ledge which is wide. I agree, good idea to watch for urns or cute buckets even. Luvs
