My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Drummond Designs

We are building a vacation home on a lake. My wife searched the internet for months and found house plans she fell in love with from Drummond Designs....a firm in Canada. The house plans were $1400 and we are going to spend some time with an architect to review...maybe make a change or two.

Does anyone have experience with building a home based on plans designed by Drummond? Also, can you share your experiences about how an architect can help in a situation such as ours....(i.e. specify certain building materials, move a wall here and there...specify to what level of build or quality we desire, etc.)
