Pretty pedestal stand, SusieRose, but I hope you didn't glue the pretty bird on--you will be able to use it lots of times in a variety of ways. Won't the half marbles on the plate make it difficult to wash? It would be great for cupcakes or other pastries. Luvs

Luvs, I left the bird unattached. I originally thought of it as a cookie plate. I used the marbles to marry the colors of all of the pieces together. I used aquarium glue that is supposed to be somewhat nontoxic so it will not posion the fish in their tanks. A quick warm soapy rinse is still safe. I think that if it is used for a table center piece I will tuck fresh flowers or moss around the bottom of the porcelain bird. susie

Oh, that is good, I'm glad it's not glued on. I've used florist clay when I've wanted to slightly secure something so it won't easily be knocked off.

This blue bird and flowers is my favorite of all the ones you got. The flowers in this picture are so pretty. It will be lovely with some flowers or greenery around it.

Very creative use of the stand. I never find anything worthwhile on our Freecycle, but I do donate things often.

I used some chunky candle sticks in a similar way on my Easter table. I found them at GW and they just screemed Easter to me. Then I found the plaid plates and they were a great match. Next, I was off to Dollar Tree in search for bunnies to perch on them. I was worried about the bunnies being knocked off, so I am glad for the hint, too.
