She does have some pretty things and I like the green pink color combo. The gold is a bit much for me, but she has some really interesting pieces.

    Thanks for sharing, Luvs!

Some nice things, but a little more restraint needed IMHO.

It is lovely I'll say that. I can certainly see why you love those roses Kay, they are pretty.

WOW! Such a collection of everything floral. I really loved everything. I wonder how long she has been collecting. Personally, I would have painted those golden cherubs a different color, but to each his (her) own.

She must live alone - can't imagine a man in her house. Beautiful stuff, a bit over the top for me but she must really love it. I am not a fan of shabby chic, just reminds me of furniture that needs a good paint job. But her colors are soft and feminine.

    Enjoyed the site, Luvs,

I totally agree that all the cherubs were a little much--I did say that it was "over the top", but still fun to look at. She sure has some pretty rose items, which I enjoy seeing.

Do any of you have any favorite sites or blogs to share, I love seeing some of them, and some are just like reading a story. I especially like the ones where they show their pretty dishes, or vignettes. Or if they redo an item or create a craft project--and I really enjoy any where they paint roses, of course!

My friend Rosemary has some lovely things and does a lot of crafting--particularly vintage style crafts with glitter. I'll put her link below.

Thanks for sharing the link Luvs! I enjoyed seeing the photos of her home. I do agree that some of it is way over the top, but most of it I really loved. Of course, I'm a "pink" lady, so that probably explains it.

PF, I think you hit the nail on the head with your comment regarding shabby chic "just reminds me of furniture that needs a good paint job". Alot of decorating photos that I see people post do look like that. I don't like the chippy looking paint on furniture. I guess that's why I really liked this lady's home...don't remember seeing any chipped paint. LOL

Dreamgoddess, I've been wondering about you. How are you doing? Are you still learning to paint roses? You know I want to see your projects. You have a very "romantic" home, always look forward to your posts.

I try to keep my desire for pastels, roses, lace, etc. a bit under control. Used to only have it in my guest room, now it's spreading to the living/dining area, and I'm thinking about some on and around my computer desk in the family room now! DH isn't crazy about it but tolerates it. ;o)

Jaybird and Jenn, I visit those blogs too, they are great. I've found several blogs that I really enjoy, mostly ones that do tables, or show their "finds" to sell or fix up, or make a craft--and I love the ones who paint roses!

And Chez Fifi was so fun. She's a writer/photographer for several of my favorite magazines, and reading her blog was just like reading a story. I especially enjoyed her earlier post about the burned house she bought in France and spent 6 months renovating. You've probably all seen her blog but I will post a link just in case.

    Enjoy! Luvs
